Anyone can achieve a 10-year-old account, that's why it's not really a sufficient criterion to qualify as a "Patreon" style supporter.
Combine 10 years with a ratio requirement and it's making more sense.

Vested interest, obviously, but I think it'd be nice. Though, this said, having an additional level requirement or a requirement to have done a giveaway within a year or two might make sense.

maybe if you combine it with being a level 10 account and making a giveaway each month. there are about half a million 10 years old accounts but only 455 level 10 accounts in general.

I would say no, but because the site basically sustains itself by advertising (like most of websites this days).

I don't mind not using adblocks on websites that i frequently use or don't have intrussive ads.

But maybe some midground tier that allows for some of the customization would be cool.

It might be a good idea to give SG the ability to give the community the ability to add a simple pictogram to a single letter name using the CG's increased FREE JOIN of patreon.
It would also be good to give the * that animates better to those who pay the bills.

It is not hard to imagine that the way to use SG is for beginners to go read the guidelines and FAQs and enter at a tremendous rate with no more thought than logging in from Steam, so the leads need to lead to Patreon and that would be a way that is not negative for the convenience of existing users It seems to me that this is a trivial matter.

Well, just to conclude, if CG is not busy, it would be nice to do so.

If CG needs a top-up first in order to be free, then there needs to be more people evangelizing SteamGifts to all sides.

I guess some people are also worried that more people will reduce their own chances of winning.

In that case, the best thing to do is to teach this place to those who have bought too many games and have too many left over. You won't lose anything, the community members will be happy, and those who have a surplus will get the satisfaction of making others happy.

Call the paying people and the ones with 10 year old accounts different, problem solved.

Don't think they should get the same perks, maybe some recognition though, but there are too many accounts i think that are 10+ year old.
Getting to level 10 is harder (not counting the abuse) and less people.

Suggestion: free Patreon for 20 year old accounts!

And, of course, the requirements go up 1 year every year.
