Surprised by the support for the support they just gave the games, they switched them to Steamworks due to GameSpy shutting down. However, the original Dawn of War is the only one that runs properly. Winter Assault instantly crashes, and Dark Crusade, typically the one which I play, doesn't even launch at all. Steam just throws "Failed to start game (unknown error)" at me and no matter what I tried, from verifying game cache and steam://flushconfig to outright reinstalling. All three games worked without ever having any issues for over a year, does anyone have any idea/can check if this is an issue from the patch or am I the only one who got screwed over or if there's anything I missed over how it can be fixed?
Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Updated Visual C++ 2005 to SP1 and it works now
