Stardew Valley is a good choice. I haven't played since the last update though, once I've demolished my backlog I'm hoping to play again.
I will probably only get some DLC as well as Snake Pass and Hidden Folks this year. I was planning to get some more gifts to get up to level 6 but the recent changes to gifting made that impossible :(

I'll look for some good games with gamepad support, so I can enjoy my new xbox 360 controler. There was a nice thread with controler friendly sugestions here some time ago, I'm think I'll get inspiration frome there. :)
