Well for being educative it has to be Jeff. He's been doing several large events this year all with the intention for people to learn something new. It is fascinating to watch his never-ending enthusiasm O.o
Other than that I have a just recent example. I was taking part in Aurorable's guessing event this month (which was less about guessing but more about information collection). It was a winner takes it all event where the chosen one could get any game/games for up to the amount of Steam Wallet aurorable had at that moment. After a fierce 5 days battle I decided to go with one of the two (in my opinion) most likely options ... and lost terribly. The correct one was the other option. But to my surprise the winner decided that he only wanted one game and let me chose something to from the rest of Steam Wallet. So I have seen awesomeness (aurorable), generousity (revilheart) and helpfulness (all the people who gave me their information to narrow down my guess) in just one event.

Hm, I may have missed that this was some kind of nomination therefore I did not link any profiles. Well, I'm pretty sure you know Jeff I mean since there are not that many which make several large educative events ^^ but I'm talking about jeffhow. Although he probably has been named somewhere else in the thread already.

Now retired, but alamarjan for creating the most insanely hardcore puzzles this community ever seen ;)
jatan11t for creating biggest and most comples group puzzle events ever - Each edition of Temple of Steamgifts was like Xmas for any SG puzzler!
Jexel for creating ITH and making puzzlemaking accessible to anyone in the community
jeffhowe for keeping spirit of puzzles and puzzle events still alive even in these dark jigidi-hunted times ;)

I'm not one of the 'cool kids' who starts threads or gets heavily involved in discussions, but I've had quite afew positive interactions with SG members. Some of my favourites are:
1) When I was kinda burnout at level 5, jeffhowe took the time to discuss levels and why he does what he does, which motivated me to push for level 7 (and 8 if possible).
2) Last Dec 25th, jims9350 and I had a spontaneous key exchange for Christmas, and I was surprise at learning how close we lived.
3) keohookalani was one of the first SG I interacted with on the forums. He was quick to put me at ease and made me want to be part of the larger community.
4) 1000mgGinseng was very gracious in walking me through my contentious mis-deeds in his group. He took the time to teach this old dog some new tricks (about group courtesy and expectations).
5) And you too Sooth, we had a couple discussions when I joined your group (PT) and you made me want to only join groups that align with my outlook/direction/intrests (vs. applying to every group).
I could keep this list going all day long, there's way too many good memories & members to list.

I would like to suggest Keohookalani because he made this thread for me - nobody has ever been so kind to me :')
Genuinely made me tear up on voice to the people involved :3
Edit: This was done in a very dark time of my life. A part that I've stayed pretty quiet about until recently. So I hope he knows how grateful I am for that event and everything he has said/done before and after that moment along with a couple of the other people involved :)

I won't give names but all the wonderful moments I had here happened after I realised new names emerging with a blue heart when I checked active group giveaways. After I thanked each one for their kind gesture, a certain user replied back and somehow it turned into one of the best friendships I've ever had.

I'll say Domazo since he helped me a lot with editing my Epic Banana Story event and lately he gave me a hand (or rather bunch of potions) in game of sWords. Wonderful guy. Yes. :)
Well. There are many people who are awesome but i'm pretty sure that someone else will find the will and time to mention them so i am out. Yes :)
Have a good one dear reader. Yes.

Well fifty showed me that this site wasn't a scam since I won a bundle game that the creator never sent to me and he had a spare copy, I will always remember that... also that he likes to make some weeb GAs from time to time and that Steam always recommends him pervy stuff (suspicious right?)
Also my eccentric finnish friend really loves to make great GAs and gift them to strangers, a ton of amazing WL gifts but mostly out of the blue he made a most generous gift on my bday, I was touched beyond words, that was just a gesture of pure kindness that will never forget!
So I nominate them both! They are truly amazing.

The threads and support I got after my last suicide attempt was really great. Then when I said that I wish I was a girl, I was given support, encouragement and info about transitioning by some members here. I've never had that before. My mother was the only one who cared, and most didn't even notice in my previous suicide attempts. And I've had to hide who I was to not offend anyone's expectations and still failed at it. I've had so few people who would accept me more myself and who want me to do what makes me happy instead of what they expect of me.
And now I just started transitioning. This site isn't a support group, and won't make up for a real one, but it's nice to have people care about and support you.
There's too many people involved to nominate just one, but thank you all.

Hi, you probably don't remember me but I registered almost a year ago (I think as 'snerual'. I haven't been active on sg for several months but I do remember you when I saw your nick. I've been looking at these threads you shared and wanted to take a moment and write you this. I don't really don't do this often but all I can say is I hope you do find happiness in life, I hope you get all the support you need and hope that all goes well with transitioning. We're all mostly strangers on the web to each other but it worries and saddens me to read how much pain you experience. Please don't be to hard for yourself, sure you're a nice person!
From what's on the other threads, more people feel the same way. The threads where opened weeks ago and as far as I understand the problems are going on for months/maybe longer. So I am late in saying all this but hopefully it just makes your day a little better. I really hope you find joy in life and can overcome your own struggles.
All the best,
Laurens

I traded with somebody in SG. A few days later I stumbled across him in a chat with 500 people, my first time there, and he recognized my name and said hello. Nice way of breaking the ice.

IgnacioC86 because they are the first (and still unfortunately one of the only afaik) SGer(s) to know the source of my avatar and have a deep and abiding appreciation for it.Almost every time we interact it's a jpg from the best webcomic ever and I never fail to smile.

Dyna inviting me to Bundle Quest around 2-3 years ago when I never really commented on the forums was a lovely moment in my memory of this website.
Sappy, Revil, Miroe, Shadowshiv and multiple others who without being asked helped in my achievement giveaway events, that was nice and not forgotten.
Virose adding me randomly asking for a bit of help early on in his SG life, then going on to seeing him hosting a level 5+ event was nice to see as well.

So many great experiences here really...wouldn't know where to begin. This is the first and only online community that I've ever stuck with for more than a forum post or two, so that says a lot. My level of involvement evolves with my changing life, but SG is a place I know I'll keep coming back to. :)

I have a lot of good memories interacting with others on SG, would have a hard time singling one out. I hope to keep building those in the years to come.

Sorry, I've been a bit tired lately and I can't dig out all the nice memories. But one thing that impressed me most is a giveaway cucooo made for someone who really wanted a certain popular game. It was whitelist only and everybody played along by not entering so in the end he would win.
