Have you tried Tales of Maj'Eyal its got permadeath and all of that. It does have achievements (only like 1629). It can be downloaded and played free to play on their website, but it is also available on steam (and why wouldn't you want it on steam?), if you get it on steam you will get the premium version and have a few extra things, and you will support the dev! steam link webpage

I'm going to try and be genuinely helpful. From your list, I would suggest you play:

• Toren (platformer)
• Amnesia: The Dark Descent (horror)
• Seven Kingdoms 2 (RTS)
• Rune Classic (old-skool fun)
• Osmos (relaxing puzzler, and quite easy to complete)

If you like platformers maybe try the Trine series, the first two are pretty good. I haven't played the third, but the reviews are pretty bad.

Depending on what you mean by beating a game, if it means getting all achievements then try beating CoH2 (452 achievements)? :P
