Well, I guess it depends on your region. Mine is EU and I had prices in GBP

this is for sure a good thing for me too, better to pay in usd or eur if one has to choose

For me the highest conversion spread is for GBP, then USD and EUR. Also in UK games are noticeably more expensive, so I guess that's the problem for you. GMG is detecting your locale so they will also tax you accordingly.

I agree, it's weird to use so many currencies.

Anyways, I've added a game to the cart and there's no VAT tax anymore. Looks like the USD prices are final. If so - unexpected massive price drop for me.

In a nutshell, the extra work required compared to the benefit the store receives is not worth it

1) they'd need to build a mechanism to give you the choice
2) they'd need to do extra work on the back end (accounting, reporting, tax,and, for non E.U., customs/import issues) that would need to be converted/consolidated

Basically, it's a lot simpler to not give you that functionality, and it's not likely they'd lose a lot of business over it.

They always made you overpay when there was GBP so its probably for the better.
