I don't know what's happening. It was some kind of bug... I just wrote in wrong answer, so it would say incorrect, then wrote it with capitalized letters it worked. But it didn't work before, because looking at my previous tries I had it and it was capitalized and when I tried now it was saying wrong, until I changed it to non-capitals.
its possible it was a bug, since I tried so many different answers that it didn't work lol.

That's a funny thing about itstoohard. I had done the same thing in another puzzle last night. I knew the answer, the quiz maker even told us where to look to get the answer and I tried it first by capping it.
I tried again after I found out it was the answer, but this time with small case. the drop down thing that shows your previous attempts also lowered the case on the list. I think it is just the way that site is scripted in mimicking the case you are using at the time.

I think what student is trying to teach us here is the importance of teamwork and cooperation. He says this puzzle is easy, yet no one has solved it yet. BUT every question on this puzzle has been solved. If we'd been allowed to share answers, we'd all have gotten it by now. It IS an easy puzzle. Thus even the best puzzle solvers can fail this puzzle, which would be easy with other people working with you, if working on their own!
So... amirite? Do I get a prize? :D

Can you tell us if #17 is singular or plural? The first sentence has a subject-verb disagreement. In other words, should it be, "This thing just keeps [...]" or "These things just keep [...]" ?

I look at it as a grammatical correction, not a hint...but maybe what looks like a mistake is actually intended and part of what we need to figure out. I'll find out Friday-- thanks. =)
