Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory OST by Amon Tobin. Fell in love with Amon's music after :). I think it was first game with situation based music that I played (if you do some stealth - chill music playing (w/o drums), in action - intense/loud music playing). Also cool that same track playing on one location (for stealth and action scenes).

Oh, that's a nice find! The only way it could possibly be improved would be if there was a goat kid standing on the log next to the singer while she was doing yoga in the beginning. :D
edit: And as Identitools reminds me below, how could I forget Heroes of Might and Magic III?

Still need to play that game someday, wish it was on Steam (a shame that Skullmonkeys and Armikrog apparently weren't nearly as good).

The first PC game I've ever played also featured the best game music I've ever heard. It's still Terry Taylor's OST to The Neverhood.
Also, can't but mention music by Robert Holmes (Gabriel Knight 1-3, Grey Matter).

There are TONS of masterpiece MGS soundtracks, and Calling to the Night is great as well. Snake Eater is my favorite tho.
(About 6 months ago i used to listen to MGS soundtracks only, and i remembered how i missed them when you shared this song, thanks :)

Diablo 1 - Catacombs theme.
It's not very melodic, but it's hellishly dark. After all these years I still remember that crazy laughter and baby cries.

The soundtrack from The Cat Lady is freaking amazing. Not something that I expected, but dang...just so incredibly perfect for that game.

Yep, these Michalskis are a seriously talented bunch. BTW, aside from Harvester Games, micAmic has also composed music for Rainswept - not a masterpiece, but a very decent narrative adventure game (strong Night in the Woods vibe plus damn good coffee!)

Coooolll...thanks for the heads-up. I'll add it to my impossibly-long list of adventure games that I need to get to. :D

I suggest sharing the best soundtrack in the game:
Remember the old games and what you liked there, it will always be a soundtrack, why the current games are so empty - because there is no high-quality music!
(suggest your best soundtrack in the game)
I'm not trying to replace someone else, I just want to say that music is needed in games and in modern ones it plays a major role!
I’m not a music critic, I just want that you yourself have introduced that there is beautiful music and that there is a fake that you will be provided with on different polls, in fact the site is very large, let the best be here!
