I'm nearing 5,000 myself, nearly most of it is shitty greenlight/earlyaccess/bad developer or publisher games.
Steam counts my games as 4,362 currently (which is wrong, not all games are counted in this number).

I would hope f2p games don't count towards that number (unless of course you got a dlc which cost money in steamstore).
There are several paid for games, that don't count towards this number, as steam api or whatever is working behind the scenes, isn't configured to count said games. No worries. :D

That's interesting, I have been getting one about every other week on average with level 50+ and having just reached over 500 games that are eligible.
If you think about it, if you get on average 8 packs per month, that is 96 per year. If the average sale price after fees is 20 cents then you are making 19.2 dollars a year, which isn't a lot but over the long run can add up to hundreds of dollars :)

Yeah.. I somehow expected to get booster packs more often than that. But I seriously thought I only got 1 per week, so I still got positively surprised. x)
