Second this, it's also quite fun since you can hit the enemies with a pipe, a board or my favorite, a metal drawer.

Technically I believe the first Condemned (the one that's actually worth playing) is for PC, but not on Steam

The second one was such a disappointment. In fact, if you do play them, just play the first and leave it at that.

That bundle is amazing, by the way. Beating the average will be the best $8 you've ever spent on gaming.

Is the game really of horror genre ? I still have to try it but from what I saw it didn't seem to fit that genre.

It might not be as scary as other games, but it definitely has some nice atmosphere to it.

F.E.A.R. I still can't play it. And to a much lesser existent, LIMBO.

I think its not really horror but stress taht goes with the game. being sandwhiched by Fleshpounds is not really scary, just depressing :p.

Resident Evil series weren't really that scary, unless you're playing Resident Evil 1-3, otherwise it's mostly action oriented. Though this doesn't mean the game is bad, it's still fun nonetheless.
Fatal Frame is definitely top #1 scariest game of all time, really frightening game. You kill ghosts by taking pictures of them, I don't know how that can get any scarier.

There are many slightly known freeware games that are very scary. I'm a huge fan of PewDiePie and he often plays games like that. I really like Dead Space, even it's not THAT scary. I don't get why people are saying that FEAR is scary, I played it like it was a normal shooter without horror elements. Amnesia is very good if you play good custom stories lime White Night, the main game isn't that scary. I hope this could help ;)

A great and old game it's Clive Barker's Undying...my first real horror game and it just blew my mind, it's a FPS with some really weird shit going on, totally recommended.

Which is absolutely fantastic. Also, If you're into Adventures and don't care that much about graphics : I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream
System Shock 2 also immediately comes to mind

I'm lazy as fuck, so have a great list on an image instead.
Getting Half-life 1 (in case you don't have it) for these horror mods is a great pick also. There are others but I can't really remember.

F.E.A.R. or Metro 2033 or Condemned or Bioshock or Cryostasis or Alan Wake or FEAR 3 or FEAR 2

Metro 2033 is a beautiful and somewhat creepy game but I wouldn't say it's a horror game.

'Amnesia' and the 'Penumbra' series are probably the scariest games I've ever played. Great storytelling and they use several litte but effective 'tricks' to increase the horror. F.ex. giving the protagonist bad sideeffects when directly looking at enemies -> most of the time the player only hears them, leaving everything else to his imagination. This is quite different from how most other games handle this: Somebody mentioned 'Condemned' - I think it begins scary as well but the repetitive eye-to-eye melee combat against waves of enemies really hurts the horror aspect (actually fighting the final boss with a plank of wood almost had a slapstick feeling for me :)).
If you like Adventure games you should try the 'Dark Fall' series and 'The Lost Crown' as well. Less gore than Dead Space but a lot more terrifying IMO.
Last but not least, if you don't need fancy graphics and want to play some classics try 'Call of Cthulhu: Prisoner of Ice' and 'It came from the desert' (+ if you can bare high levels of frustration from unfair trial&error gameplay 'Elvira').

going off of that, SCP- Containment Breach is pretty freaky. Without ruining anything, if you're a Doctor Who fan you should enjoy it XD

Hey everyone!
Recently I entered in the horror world, and I want to know every possible horror game.
I'm currently playing Dead Space. After the first one of course I'm going to play the second!
I have in plan to play Amnesia right after Dead Space. Then I think I should play Silent Hill and Resident Evil.
Now tell me other games I should play. I want them to be reeeally scary.
