this is just a ride through everything and every thought that anyone will ever spout out of their mouths regarding anything. it treats you as a bystader in the movie, not really the watcher, its more like the whole movie is the eyes of someone else and you are just given the treat of whitnessing it happen, you really need to see it to understand.

i remember the first time i saw it, i was literally sad for a few days, then i watched it again and it made me feel so good the second time i saw it, i dont know why but i saw a lot of things that i had missed the first time that it gave me another point of view.

its really worth the watch, but i warn you, it may be slow at times, weird, and allways criptic, just bear with it till you feel you understand the message(s), it really is good.

runnerups for me would be "into the wild" made me cry like i had just lost my mother again, and "enter the void" wanna get high without the dope? heres your movie, its extremely weird and has a very weird way of getting you to understand the messages but its good to watch at least once to be able to say "it made me blind!!"

The Sunset Limited. Kind of a trip. Has Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones.

having read the thread to this point and having seen literally all but one film listed I must say I don't feel like I have much to contribute as so far they've assembled a comprehensive list of the best there is to offer. If there's one Di Caprio movie (Inception), you shouldn't forget about another - Shutter Island. Can't say I loved it, but when I watched it in the movies - the needed effect was achieved.
Limitless, The Green Mile, The Devil's Advocate, Dead Poets Society, THE MATRIX!!! They all should be added on the list.
And, of course, one of my favourite movies of all time - City of God.

Looper was good.
Drag Me To Hell is a great Comedy-Horror.

Requiem for a Dream is an amazing mindf--k movie. Being John Malkovich is also brilliant.
