many games were removed from store for, among other causes, fake reviews and fraudulent micro-transactions. since the developers get 10% from any card sold, those cards are banned from the market as well.

about DH? yes, it was well known, there was a lot of noise (and a lot of cheering also) in the forums here when it happened.

oh, that was more recent. I heard through some BR groups on facebook, but it was annouced by Steam on their group a little time ago

btw, I can't tell for sure because I don't remember exactly but since DH was banned from Steam, I think that all of their cards got banned as well.

So, Forsaken Uprising cards are being... forsaken? :-?

I'm guessing their mass giveaways for game keys will finally stop now.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but Valve are just hurting the customers by removing the cards from the Market entirely. What they should do is make it so the cards are still available for buying and selling (as well as emoticons and backgrounds), but remove the Developers from getting their cut!

They likely can't. Unless the developer signed the rights to the artwork on the trading cards over to Valve, Valve can't use the cards in a manner not authorized by the developer. Theoretically Valve could probably remove the artwork from the cards in question and be entirely in the clear, but this current level of moderation is already well beyond what we expect of Valve. :P
Besides, Valve probably doesn't want to have to explain to consumers why those trading cards are no longer generating backgrounds or emoticons, and likewise, that'd presumably handicap the appeal of their trading card sales as well. This may not be the most consumer-friendly approach, but from Valve's vantage, it's probably the most efficient.

Darn. That's a shame. :(
I just wanted to be able to craft all the Badges and get the smilies and backgrounds that I still needed. I have the 15 day trade hold, so trading is pretty much useless to me.

as long as this only affects shady game devs trying to game the system, i dont really mind it

If anybody finds any more games that have had their market rights for cards stripped, feel free to drop a note here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/card-trading-card-trades/discussions/1/133255957994868314/
I figure having a central list of affected games could be of use.

They should still be tradeable and the keys are cheap enough where plenty of peeps have farmed it for cards/own it. Might be worth checking the SCE bot and others like it to complete the set.

S I just noticed that I got a card in my inventory that I cannot sell... anyone know what's with that? Are other DH games to follow?
TIP: If you want to get rid of your cards, exchange them via trade bots for marketable/wanted ones
Fun fact: ppl are still blacklisting me.
