fallout 3 vs. fallout new vegas

I've played every Fallout. 1, 2, Brotherhood of Steel, Tactics, 3, and New Vegas. Between 3 and NV, the only thing that NV did better was Old World Blues. The other 3 NV dlc were boring. The whole concept of NV was sub-par. I never felt any kind of attachment to any of the factions in New Vegas. 3 was the better game in my opinion, though honestly Bethesda can't do Fallout the justice that Interplay did.

Fallout 3 was a very enjoyable game but it's pretty much true that New Vegas is even better, especially when it comes to the story and interesting characters and locations. Also the hardcore mode in New Vegas isn't frustrating at all and actually makes the game more fun.

Both are games that are sure to suck 100+ hrs away no problem. NV seemed to have a lot more bugs then 3, so many that I just couldnt finish the main story. However, I enjoyed NV more then 3 simply because half the game isnt spent running through sewer systems. NV is a lot more open. Soundtrack wise, I enjoyed more music in NV then 3, though sadly NV does have fewer tracks.

I love them both and wouldn't skip any of them!

People who have played the first two Fallout games prefer New Vegas, while people who are new to the series prefer Fallout 3.

New Vegas was the better of the two

The biggest difference is that F3 is green, and NV is orange.

They're both great games and I highly suggest you get both.

Of the two I prefer New Vegas, but I would advise playing through Fallout 3 first.

Fallout 3 could seem a bit disappointing if you played
it afterwards because of the general improvements that New Vegas made.

Also, do yourself a favor and download yourself the texture packs for fallout 3. Best game
