So, I was doing some card farming and trying to trade card to make a badge for a game I got in a bundle: Grind Zones

I got what I thought was all of the cards necessary to craft my badge only to find that Steam had derped. I had all 9 of the cards that I could find in the Market and yet, I could not craft the badge. Steam says that there are only 7 cards necessary to craft this badge... WThuh ?!?!

So, I started looking at the reviews. Stupid review changes this week Volvo! People were stating that the game is an illegal copyright infringement back in July... and yet, it still exists in the Store. Now the developer is making money off cards being sold and exchanged when the game was released in a bundle.

I then looked closer at who was the developer. I then discovered that the other game they have on steam, Lemurzin which had purchase of it disabled due to an apparent money laundering scheme.

So, if I am doing my math right of 2 + 2 = 5... then why is this 'developer' still on Steam and making money by scamming us? This person is making Digital Homicide look practically like angels.

Comment. Compliment. Throw rotten food at me. Post silly or cute GIFs. Insult my mother for wearing army boots because she did while she was in the military. J/K. Do whatever you would like to do . . . but, PLEASE consider reporting Grind Zones to Valve.

The game Grind Zones was originally the same game as Oath of Genesis except Grind Zones came out earlier (though both flipped the same Top-Down RPG Starter Kit assets).
Then later on, Grind Zones completely changed the game content to make itself look like its current state and now it appears they are flipping the assets from Top-Down Assets.

Aha, that badge looks familiar... :)

Every time SteamTrade Matcher suggested a trade for that badge's cards I just had to trust it, since if I compared them manually it looked like it wanted to trade all the wrong ones...

Oh, and I haven't actually clicked the "Craft Badge" button yet, so I don't know what will happen... :)

Yeah, that was the issue that got me started into looking into this game. The badge cannot be crafted at all. The cards and badge requirements in Steam are b0rken for it.

Oh, interesting, what happens if you click the button? Some sort of error? So the cards Steam thinks are needed aren't actually the correct cards? Sigh... :)

No wonder the steam card exchange inventory for that one is broken. The bot has 8 of each card but they show up as if none were there.

In case people were wondering what bundle Grind Zones was in, it was in the IndieGala Chroma Bundle.

Yeah, I bought two of that bundle just to have [Chroma Squad] for myself and a copy to give to a friend for his birthday. Grind Zones ended up being the stinker of the bundle, unfortunately.
