Serious Sam HD The Second Encounter contains only the base game. You can play co-op, multiplayer and the story. The Legend of the Beast is just a few levels and weapons, maybe?. Serious 8 DLC is just multiplayer skins.

If you buy the base game, you will have a full copy, and you will not be forced to play multiplayer only.
