Private giveaway link will be given to those two, loser makes a giveaway for the next match and winner advances.

I think they were assuming there would be duels inside of a game, like 1v1 in tf2 or something. But I think the giveaways themselves are the duels... Sounds like a fun idea! idk if i'd have the time, so I wont ask for invy but sounds fun :)

Aww, maybe the problem is you assuming my attitude is bad :(
I was trying to be funny; but let me explain:
If the duels are about playing games to decide who's best, then it takes time.
If the duels are simply about entering a giveaway and letting randomness decide who's best, it doesn't take time.
You say you believe it's about randomness deciding, and you say you don't have time. I just found that kinda funny. Sorry 'bout that.

Is that all you can post on a thread? -.- not the first time

How to deal with problems such as "Missing base game" or "Exists in your account"?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well you should look at their game list, for example if there is a nice deal check if those two don't have it.

Wow, interesting idea. Could I get an invite?
I'm a bit confused how this works though. If only the loser creates giveaways for the next match, where do the first giveaways from the first round come from?

So you're making 16 or 32 giveaways for the first match? That's very generous of you o.o
Actually, what kind of bracket is this going to be? A vs. B, then winner vs. C, then winner vs. D? Or will it be A vs. B, C vs. D, then winner of first vs. winner of 2nd, etc.
I guess full rules will be up in the next couple of days

Ah gotcha, thanks for clarifying. When someone says bracket, I always assume it's a sports bracket.

Actually I will provide a gift only for first match, there will be a battle between two members and the loser must do a giveaway for the next round. So I'm going to do two giveaways, one to start the tournament and one if I lose.

Are you sure you can make a giveaway if you lose? Your contributor value is a bit low, just making sure.

Why not, I'd be interested. :-) (That is, if I'm deemed worthy, and if the time limits are going to be reasonable. Can't be online 24/7. O:-])

I've just came up myself with the idea, I didn't know if there was already like this, asked few people if they know.

There could also be some degree of communication involved, such as the loser asking which of the games he could give away would be preferred.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well not really, let him surprise them, people will actually ask for expensive games which most of the people can't afford.

I meant "offering", rather than "asking for". :-) Something like "Guys, I have Medieval Total War and Mount&Blade Warband, and I don't care which I give away -- any preferences?". If they both agree on the same game, and the gifter really doesn't care, there's no reason to give the other one.

Also, if you choose to giveaway DLC, make sure both players own the base game ^^

Hello Steam Gifts.
We've created a group for a special tournament which will be hold on this site. It's a duel tournament or one on one tournament.
We need at least 32 people and maximum of 64 so we can have exact brackets. The matches will be randomly drawn and there will be Round 1, Round 2 and more, depends on how many people will enter.
You only need to create one giveaway when you need to, only when you loose. For example if you're in match one, you and another one will enter the giveaway, the loser needs to do a giveaway for the next match and the winner advances in the next round, so the winner of the tournament don't need to give anything but if you reach the final and you loose you must do a giveaway for the whole group. Any game or dlc is acceptable, we don't care about it's value just make it enterable.
A match means a Private Giveaway link given to the two persons who are in the match.
We won't invite every random people into this tournament, only those who can be trusted because most of the people will try to leech and won't give back.
If you want to join just post something in this thread.
Also we will hold more tournament like these, if first ends then we create another more different.
GROUP PAGE
Example for most of the people:
You're in match one and you lose, you need to do a giveaway for match two, loser of that match makes a giveaway for the next match, the loser from the last match from the round needs to do a giveaway for the first match of the next round.
