Hello!

I really want to make an effort to play more of the games that I've won here on SG. I've been pretty lucky in my time here and some awesome game wins have just been pushed under the radar by other games that I've favoured.

I only ever enter GA's that I 100% want to and aim to play at some point!

Before I started picking games at random, is there such a thing as a tool or website that tracks what games you've played from your SG wins?

Do you only enter GA's for games which you 100% intend to play if you win?

There's a website called Backlog Assassins Extraordinaire (BLAEO), that allows you to create lists from your Steam library. It also syncs with your SG wins and allows you to easily track your progress in them.
You can request to join the site in the thread here on SG.

I also try to shot for games, which I want play, but I noticed I want way many of them and sometimes I realize during playing playing game is not for me. But I mostly enjoy my wins, unfortunately I were a lot lucky and won more games than I am able handle to play (and I am even dumb enough to buy Control in realese time when I know I have to play wins first). Most my time go now to playing Spyro, which I won on discord.
Btw, if you like playing your wins, you should join GGP discord giveaways. We always like to see other people enjoying their wins :)

I have created a "Won on Steamgifts" collection in my Steam Library for this purpose. It will take a while to populate the collection by systematically going through your Giveaways Won list by clicking on the trophy icon at the top right (overly detailed instructions are for the benefit of less experienced SG members that might read this, not you) but you only need to do that once and then remember to add new wins to the collection when you activate them. Once in the collection, you can sort them by things like "% of Achievements Complete" or "Hours Played" to help you work your way through the collection.

I do what 0ldNick said in the first comment - use BLAEO to update my SG wins to unfinished/beaten/completed/dropped.
You can see how it's organised from my profile here:

Another vote for BLAEO website for tracking, especially useful since it automatically tracks your SG wins and lets you categorise them (Completed, Beaten, Wont' Play, etc.). They also have a monthly theme which is a great help if your stuck what to play next.

I would also suggest PAGYWOSG which is a monthly themed event dedicated to playing your SG wins, and also has a website for tracking.

I only ever enter GA's that I 100% want to and aim to play at some point!

Other than a few early wins, this has always been my approach. However, it's taken me a while to realise that the time I have available to play can never match my acquisition rate. I'm much more focused on entering for what I will actually play.

I only enter for games that I really want to play. Luckily, I never win, so it makes it easy to keep up. lol

Hi, Fenchurch.

Just figured I would drop by and mention that I just finished Morkredd, and I enjoyed it, it was quite different from other things I have played. I wanted to play it with friends, but it has been so uncommon to meet them these days, I decided to try it solo. And, despite what people say, it was very enjoyable, and I found the difficulty level just right. I guess "Brothers" trained me to control 2 characters at once... :D

So, anyway, just wanted to drop by and say "thank you" again for the gift (and this thread sounded somewhat appropriate to do it), I had fun with it.

Also: I was not able to reply in the GA itself -- it seems you blacklisted me? Anyway, if it was something I did that seemed offensive somehow, maybe let me know? If not (some people blacklist winners so other people have more chances of winning), it is all cool.

If you join BLAEO, see you there?

Cheers!

Hey :D

Thanks for the reply on the game, glad you enjoyed it! Not had a chance to play yet myself but it looks good.

I usually blacklist people who have won more than given (value wise). Nothing personal at all, just trying to spread those wins out to some people who haven't won as much or anything at all. A lot of the time they auto blacklist me back which makes me even happier that I did it haha.

Anyway you seem like a nice guy so I've unblacklisted you! If you win again, it might happen again though haha! :D

Fair enough, I try to keep 1:1 on # of gifts, but it is true that value-wise I am clearly losing this battle. :(

Hopefully I win something from you soon so you can blacklist me again! Oh, wait, that did not sound right... :D

Cheers!
