I thought so too, that is until I had to do both childcare and WFH at the same time 😅 Frankly speaking, it felt like I was trying to do two full-time jobs at the same time. Something’s gotta give. Despite being to put in some hours of work while the baby sleeps and mastering the skill of typing with only one hand while cradling the baby with the other, I still ended up having to put in some extra hours at night/during the weekends (thank goodness my work’s kinda flexible that way) once the hubby’s home to help.
I think the advantage of WFH with kids is that you can spend more time with your kids. In a pre-covid world, most working parents would have already sent their newborn to the nursery once maternity leave’s over. Of course, if both parents WFH, then it would have definitely been much better.

Ah, I think I can imagine that now. Well, the fact that you get to spend more time with them might be worth it imo, despite the constant extra work & headaches (or other things that come along with bringing up a child). Well, that's the one point that I have heard from some of the parents being thankful for, being able to spend more time. Though in hindsight, I believe most of them had older kids, like from 5-10 y/o. So maybe it's not so much extra work for them.

Nothing much to say except that the one-year-ago me would never thought that taking care of a newborn and WFH full-time would be as draining as I had expected, both physically and mentally... even with some help. Still, I wouldn't have it any other way :P
The Level 1+ GAs will end on Nov 1 in my time zone, though not exactly on 12 midnight. Note that it's protected by SGTools so don't share the Invite Only links! ;)
Without further ado, let's ride the choo-choo train!
P/S: Did everything manually so I hope everything works well. You might need to go through the selection twice in case you miss any.
There are also special GAs for some of the groups I'm in, so keep an eye out for those!
P/S: I should really clarify - it's not my baby's birthday :P
P/P/S: Thanks a lot for the birthday and well wishes! Sending much love your way as well ^^
