...and it's called Crimson Asylum.
I recently made a GA for it and had to ask for a reroll because one of the winners was unresponsive. It happens.
What surprised me is that even the new winner was unresponsive, and had to be rerolled! Now that's a first for me.
I'm talking about people who would come online, and ignore their win. Classic botter behaviour...

Have you ever had to ask for a new winner more than once? I want to know your experience.

Well anyways, obligatory GA for you ;)

You always have the option to keep it for yourself, you aren't forced to gift it away. 😁

That happened to me with Eventide 2: The Sorcerer's Mirror. It was kind of shocking, but it is a hidden object game, and I really regret letting those clog up my library. I was worried something was wrong and that with only 30 entries I might run out of participants.

Could you please share a screenshot of the, important, comments part?
It would be very helpful for users like me that are on your BL and can't take a look into the GA ;o)

But that is one of the HOGs published by Artifex Mundi, those are usually at least ok, they have a pretty good quality standard, their main issue is that they have a tendency to be a bit too formulaic.

This is why public GA can suck

With a DLC i needed 8 new rerolls....
... but with full games only 1 reroll because of the winner (if i had the power much more rerolls happened because much too much absolute obvious autojoiner bots won and their owners came only around to collect their wins each, mostly, 4 days [it pissed me off to be forced to give them the won games...])

There should be an option to request a manual "botter check" from mods. They have more tools and data to verify someone's suspicions.
If an user is online 24/7 but still won't redeem a win, or comments 20 GAs at the same time, these should be clear clues that something is fishy.

Let's say it this way....

I know that a lot of autojoiner report tickets are unhandled and nearly all that reported them gave up with creating new reports because they aren't handled for 1 year+.
And i don't speak from tickets with no evidences.
They have there all needed evidences, presented in a absolute clear way.

My reports, with not much evidences, for users with over 300k entries, which isn't reachable as real human that need to sleep, work, study etc., got rejected and users, or better their bots, are still active.

And when such obvious ones aren't handled, such tickets not handled for years, then don't expect some manual "botter check" or something like this (this would need more time + energy as the one that aren't handled).

After the 8 rerolls i were pissed, because it took weeks of work (and energy that i would have needed for much more important reallife stuff), i don't done public GAs for 1 year.
And everytime when i do a cakeday thread with, more or less, public GAs, i regret it afterwards when i see the majority of the winners stats. This is the reason that i don't done cakeday threads and GAs for 2? years.
At some point it is "enough" or "too much" and a limit reached. In my case this leaded to much lesser, public, GAs, lesser invested time on sg, lesser threads, lesser comments, lesser connection with the site, lesser interest to help new users etc. etc. etc..
And i don't see that i change it back at some point (because i don't expect that cg do something against the bots and other cheaters. So it is always a unfair place and situation for the honest ones).

Maybe they got lost and trapped in an asylum before they could claim their win

I had to rerroll twice a DLC Walking dead 400 hits.
It was in a group. Only two entries. Both of them already had it.
Finally I deleted the giveaway

It happened to me with a DLC. 2 rerolls and the third winner also had it but "forgot to check". I asked to allow to delete the giveaway and then left the key on the orphan thread.
Every time I enter for a DLC I check if I have it. If I have it, i hide it here. It's simple, doesn't take hours, just a few seconds for the tab to load... But apparently few people do it.
I ended quite angry and frustrated for that one. Until then, a few times one reroll only. It happens, no second thought, no bad feelings. But facing a third reroll made me change my perspective. People who ask for a reroll because they have the DLC or whatever but didn't check, should get a warning or small punishment. And in your case, people who come online and don't claim their wins forcing a reroll, should also get a warning or small punishment. Something that makes people think that checking DLCs or paying more attention to that flashing number over the wins icon is worth doing. It bothers giveaway creators, it bothers mods, it bothers that street cat named Bob. I like giving out games and DLCs but some people just make it bitter.

I wouldn't have been able to ask 8 times for rerolls like Masafor.

On the other hand, I have the game. Not a masterpiece, not at the bottom of the barrel either. Worth playing once for fans of the genre.

Damn myself, another wall of text /facepalm

The first unresponsive winner got suspended. I did not report him, so either someone else in my situation did, or mods too noticed there was something suspicious after the reroll. The reason for the suspension is as always private, but the user was obviously botting, online 24/7 just to join giveaways and only occasionally checking and redeeming his wins. But that's just a theory.

If i had known from the begin that it would need 8 rerolls i hadn't requested it :-D
But i had hope, each time, that the new winner will be happy about the DLC and activate it without a problem.
From the 6th on the hope was gone and i, switched into my pitbull behavior/acting (i jump into something and don't stop till the job is done... [which is mostly not a good thing if a opponent is involved....^^]), only wanted to see how worse it can go and wanted to have all the bad apples known to list them for myself (and maybe a few other ones but not on sg^^).
I can't remember on their levels but if they were level 5 or higher they will never win again something from me (BL for the win^^).

And yes, as you wrote, it is frustrating and make angry, so is in the end something negative for the gifter, and this shouldn't be what a gifter get (for whatever good or bad game or DLC),

I think I had to reroll maybe 5 times on a public GA for a DLC once.
I think support made a voodoo doll with my avatar at that point.
