Does anyone know if any of those Kalypso Strategy games on the Steam weekend sale are worth investing in? I know little to nothing about them.

The only game I am all that familiar with is Dungeons, which is kind of like Dungeon Keeper if you are familiar with it, except you get stronger by decorating you dungeons.

Tropico is real fun.

Omerta isn't bad, but I wouldn't really recommend it for current price. Unless you can get it from Russia.

I think both have demo, so you can have some preview.

Thats right. Tropico is fun :)
But game music after few hours is boring. Good way is turn on any Latin radiostation from web, like...
colombiarumbera.com or Salsa channel from Sky.fm

Tropico and Jagged Alliance Pack are both well worth the money. Port Royale 3 is ok, but gets quite boring after playing through the campaign(which is pretty short), Since almost everything becomes automated, and once you have powerful ships, combat is a joke.

It should also be noted, that Patrician IV and Port Royale 3 are basically the same game set in different parts of the world.

Kalypso games seem to be bundled very frequently. They are generally pretty decent, though.

the only games i have played are dungeons and tropico 4.
Dungeons is a dungeon keaper "clone" so essentialy you have a base which is attacked by heroes.
Tropico you are a dictator so essentially it's a city building game. If you want add me on steam and i can write a short description.
