I don't know what to say except that you might be in danger of a Steam ban for using VPN...

I always thought it would be a store and community ban. So essentially your account is dead except for the games you already purchased.

You can no longer VPN to activate. Steam put more restrictions properly since they locked everything on the Store.

do you have a source for that?

EDIT: i asked some people, and your statement is definitely wrong. VPN activation seems to work as always. i know for a fact, that someone used VPN on monday (4 days ago). i don't know where you got this information.

Yeah I dunno, I've heard reports of both sides (it works, it doesn't work)...

Maybe it's an unknown kind of silent ban. I.e. if they notice you abusing VPNs, they lock your region so you can't activate Russian gifts even with a Russian IP address.

Which would certainly be better than banning your account outright.

They pay in Euros - the most expensive currency on Steam. Countries 5 times poorer than USA pay 25% more than them.

Do you think having a job should be an indicator for prices? There was a system where an unemployment was close to 0. It was called slavery. Do you think such country should have the highest prices? You are completly wrong. Unemployment in Russia is 6% (the cheapest region), in Poland - 16% (over 30% for people 25 and younger) (one of the most expensive regions).

I don't know about STEAM, but every normal company that have problems with VPNs detects them and add them to blacklist. So VPN that works a week ago, probably doesn't work today if it's easy to be find with search engine or used by many people. They don't have another way to know is this VPN or not exept blacklist. If you find new VPN it will works. But soon or later it will go in they blacklist and they can find all games that is activated by it.

Just buy from SteamTrades. 16$ for a RU+CIS tagged, but in fact ROW copy isn't big deal. Just get a trader, who has a decent amount of +rep

Yes old copies prior the trading locks seems to be fine.
I got gifted a copy with Ru Cis tag and could activate it without any need for VPN.
I wouldnt recommend using VPN since Valve may be locking your account down for it.

You could also find a good trader and trade it for same game or another one you want,it is worth a shot.

I would not use VPN as you risk having your whole account banned which means all the games on it will be lost forever.

or if your willing to risk all your games on one go for it,you could also make another account activate just that game on it and play it and hope for the best, but only do that if your will lose what you invested in that game if it gets blocked.

The choice is yours and if you already used VPN your account is at risk and you may get lucky but i would not keep pushing that as it some point it will push back.

Why would you risk losing your whole account over one game? And you're from Sweden, it's not like you're poor.

VPN: At most, you won't be able to play it.

G2A: The game will be revoked and your account can be in danger.

you could try to trade your game for a ROW copy, and pay the difference in tf2 keys or paypal/money.

Yeah, i think you are either a troll or a very paranoid person. The only time you are risking suspending account is when you are buying games from steam using vpn set to a diffrent region. Worst what will happend if you are using vpn for activating games is that you won't be able to play them or install them. That's it.
