Wow, and only $3? I paid $30 before it got delisted because of course they weren't going to hold a sale. Ah well, I've certainly gotten my money's worth out of it so far--anyone even considering picking up a guitar should snag a copy at this price!

A word of warning for people who get massive buyers FOMO: I have ended up spending an ungodly amount of money on this game, and you might do too if you pick it up. All of its DLC (1200+ currently) has a super clear and set countdown pretty much to being delisted. Since a newer Rocksmith game has been released, none of the songs this one has licensed to sell as DLC will get their contracts renewed (or even ever go on sale...). So every month, all of the DLC that released in that same month 10 years ago gets delisted. It's rough to watch and resist picking some of them up, especially when there are just sooo many great songs this game has licensed, and with just how great of a way it is to learn them on bass and guitar. I'm still kicking myself for missing out on picking up Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4 and The Smashing Pumpkin's 1979, and they were delisted over a year ago now...

There are a bunch of DLC bundle packs that make them a bit cheaper to get, but yeah pretty much. The base game does include a decent amount of songs though. I think the old version included more, but this one still comes with a few packs. If you want free songs though, I think you should still have access to CDLC with minimal effort, which is user-made ports of songs that never got officially released as DLC - of which there are several thousand. And many of those are just as high quality as the official releases. :)

from the about section:
In 2023, Rocksmith 2014 Remastered was temporarily removed due to the expiration of our music licensing deals. While we believe Rocksmith+ offers the ultimate destination for learning guitar, bass and piano with its extensive music catalog, we have also heard the Rocksmith 2014 community’s feedback. You asked for Rocksmith 2014 Remastered to return, so we did just that! We have been hard at work to deliver a special version giving you the choice to own your songs and enjoy popular features like Guitarcade and Session Mode.
