It's pretty nice, actually. The new controls take a bit of getting used to, mostly training your brain that white means bottom and black means top. The FMV of Live can have pretty cheesy moments, but I still like the overall festival feel of it. I haven't tried TV yet. I've only played around an hour so far. ^^

Heard that you aren't able to buy songs anymore - is that true?
Also heard that you're limited in which songs you get to play - only get to play whenever a song comes up on a feed - gotta spend coins to replay the song to master it

You can play tracks on Live as much as you can similar to last-gen, but just the tracks on Live. TV is a separate entity which is built like a free-to-play game.
I haven't tried TV yet, but from what I understand, TV is kind of like MTV when they actually played music videos. There are currently two channels where you can jump in and play the songs that are playing and compete with others for points. You earn coins for playing and you can use them to buy play tokens, which you can spend to play any song on TV once. The play token is consumed when you start the song, so don't restart or you'll lose the play token. They are also offering a party pass where you can play any song on TV for a duration for real money. Basically, TV replaced DLC.

I went ahead and bought myself a PlayStation 4... (Gasp!)
I've just really been wanting Guitar Hero... I've always wanted a Guitar Hero or Rock Band from the PS3 days, but as a high school student, we just didn't have the money for it. I remember back then all my gaming was done on an old PC which can't run anything more than flash games.
But then I just saw this awesome PS4 bundle on sale last week and I couldn't stop myself. I even had it shipped halfway across the world, what was I thinking!
Please, have a train to appease the Gaben: Choo choo!
EDIT: Just played a game and it immediately threw me to My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark. The Kill played not soon after. I love it already. Haha
