So I'm installing BlueStacks to see how well it performs. With how much I game on my phone lately I'm starting to worry about battery wear. Does anyone know of any other Android emulators or VMs out there? Trying to keep my options open in case BS (lol) doesn't work out too well.

EDIT: So far BlueStacks is terrible, but working. I've had a recommendation below I'm going to try next. Finally, in advance, I already know about Android-x86. I don't want to have to set up a separate partition for a live CD, so that's not an option here.

http://androvm.org/blog/ is a pretty nice option. Haven't played much apart from Kairosoft games though, so I can't comment too much on performance.
Just don't forget to read the documentation. :)

Kairosoft has awesome games. And about emulators, they don't work well. Not worth the effort.

Bluestacks is the best from my experience. Depends on what you want to run.

I've had little to no trouble with Bluestacks, runs everything great - even HD games. My BS is rooted (and Rootcheck is fully confirmed) yet certain apps don't run, such as GameGuardian, but it's a known issue.
