Amazing game. Still, if you like it, I recommend getting the Steam version because GOG has v1.3.3 instead of v1.3.4 (the last version, that has some bug fixes).

If you have a Twitch account, the game has one of the best Twitch integrations to date.

After beating the game (all three pyramids), there's an Infinite Tower and that's where the fun really starts and the difficulty really spikes. Your audience decides your fate and helps or hinders your progress. The game is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. I should know since I have over 387 hours in this game and have been the world record holder in the Infinite Tower on the Twitch integrated leaderboard for 2.5 years (and since I stopped playing I only dropped to second place).

I'm really glad they gave it for free since the game truly needs more love and new players. If you don't enable the Twitch integration you're missing out on a lot of fun. The community is great and sometimes merciless, but I've made lots of friends and probably know most of the people on the leaderboard and helped most of them reach their ranks.

Trust me, don't let it sit in your library, play it and you won't regret it!

I discovered it when I got it in the Humble Monthly a few years ago (sometimes in 2018 I think). It seemed a bit weird at first glance so I was reticent to give it a try but I did and it's been a blast.

TIPS: Use Apis, invest in the skill tree and make heavy use of the active skill. You shouldn't have any troubles finishing the third pyramid using this method. If you have any issues let me know and I can hop in your stream and help you beat the game. I finished all three pyramids from start to end (on a fresh slot) with 7 lives for the Insane achievement: "Beat the game with 20 lives or less" (finishing a pyramid counts as a death, therefore two default deaths plus 5 additional ones due to the merciless audience that gave me the worst curses when fighting bosses, haha. The best rollercoaster I've ever had in a game so far).
