Is anyone out there still interested in games like the Witcher 1 and the Witcher 2
I think Witcher 2 was the free one. It just didn't mesh with me. The combat just felt weird.

Yeah, It's a shame I couldn't get into it, the story looked really cool.
I know I'm a horrible person, I also hate bacon and steak and I don't love kitties, I only like them! What is wrong with me?

Same here, couldn't stand the game's mechanics, so didn't bother trying the second game.

You could also read the books...
They're awesome.
“People, -- Geralt turned his head-- like to invent monsters and monstrosities. Then they seem less monstrous themselves. When they get blind-drunk, cheat, steal, beat their wives, starve an old woman, when they kill a trapped fox with an axe or riddle the last existing unicorn with arrows, they like to think that the Bane entering cottages at daybreak is more monstrous than they are. They feel better then. They find it easier to live.” -Geralt. Quote from the 1st book. The last wish.

It takes quite some time for me to understand and get accustomed with the world, but I finally finished 2 & 3. Played the first one but only halfway.

When I heard about witcher 3 release back in the day, I decided to install Witcher 1 as I thought it would have some importance to the sequel.
The game really hasn't aged all that well. The game mechanics are repetitive and only thing holding it up is the story line.
When I heard that it won't affect witcher 3 in any way, I lost most interest to continue and instead read the synopsis. Heard that Witcher 2 has some importance and is still holding up well as a game.
I don't know where I was going with this, so here have a cat picture instead:

I have very fond memories of Witcher 1. Those were the days of clicky RPGs, loved it back then.
Also, pineapple is the best pizza topping. You can't tell me otherwise.

I tried the first Witcher and couldn't get into it.
But that was pretty common for me with a lot of games around that period, including Dragon Age. If I flat out didn't like the mechanics, it always came down to...THE UNCANNY VALLEY.
Seriously. It started with games sometime after Half-Life 2 in 2004 and started getting better around 2011-12. There were a few exceptions here and there but watching these almost-life-like-but-clearly-not characters try to act out a story was creepy and off-putting.

Just got curious about some games and people's interest.
Generally I keep experiencing lately that people are ditching them for the latest one in the franchise, so I wanted to check if it's the same on here.
Fine ..I admit..I also just wanted to make my first poll.
Oh...and Kitty comments ftw!
