I'll just be hanging out with friends for Halloween.

Dream Theater! I don’t listen to them nearly as often as I should. Thanks for the recommendation :)

Our neighbors are major (and I do mean MAJOR) decorators, so we get a ton of trick-or-treaters. I have a pumpkin bowl with a fake hand that is motion-activated and uses this cute voice to say things like "Boo!", "Happy Halloween!" and "Did I scare you?" as the hand bends over the bowl covering the candy.
It startles most of the younger ones (I've had a few cry!) but overall it's an effective Halloween trick in exchange for a treat!

That sounds adorable. Hey, if you want the candy, you gotta endure the frights!

Hmm, I'm drawing a blank for eerie music. Blood Incantation - Hidden History of the Human Race I think.
Thank you for the fun & eerie ride! :D

Very appropriate music for the season. Enjoy the ride!

I have a younger kid, and we walk the blocks for candy. I dress up in something matching him, and sometimes get a few treats offered as well. One year he was a pokemon, so I did a trainer. Another year was Link, so I carried a floating fairy.
For the house we leave a bowl out in a big friendly felt spider. We hang some ghosts we made from old hanging planter baskets, hang them upside down with a sheet over, and hang an electric candle inside so they glow. Otherwise kids won't know to come down our court as other neighbors don't decorate much. A big extravaganza is decorated down the street with 100 pumpkins and fog, skeletons and things. So we get kids as long as we have some lighting.

Awww, matching costumes! Hope you and your kid have fun :)

An unnerving song, perfect for when you’re walking home alone in the dark. Thanks!

Thank you for this scary train.
I'm in a hurry but I will post some things about halloween as soon as I can.
Let me just tell you you're awsome by doing this while still being an unlucky!

You’re welcome! Gotta give to receive sometimes, and what better gift than the gift of TERROR and video games.

Have fun listening to this one, though it is not a halloween song ;p

Win-win situation - you have something to give the trick or treaters if they come, and if they don't, you get to keep the candy :)

Very appropriate for Halloween, and surprisingly wholesome at the end there.
Also RIP Jason and Ghostface, pillars of the community o7

I don't usually do much special for Halloween. Just hang out at home and play some games or watch horror movies.

That sounds like a nice, chill way to enjoy the holiday. Hope you have fun

I saw the OG Beetlejuice when I was a kid, so I really don’t remember much. Maybe I should invite some friends over and watch the two movies back to back, see how they compare.
Great use of the song, MacArthur Park is the perfect combination of camp and drama :)

Nice and comforting. Just wish that second song wasn’t quite so relatable…

Your train is late. Something unexpected blocking the tracks, the stationmaster said, though he was quick to assure you that the train would get here, eventually. It's been a few hours since then, however, and still you remain seated on the bench, waiting impatiently for your ride home. The handful of people that were waiting with you have all filtered out of the station, so now, as the evening slowly darkens into night, you huddle alone in your seat.
You're about to doze off when you hear it in the distance - a train whistle. Blearily, you get to your feet, eager to leave the tomb-like silence of the station. Soon enough, you can see it: a dark shape lumbering towards you from the distance. At first all you feel is relief, but as it approaches you notice it looks less like the sleek modern trains you're used to and more like a steam locomotive from long ago. It comes to a squealing halt in front of you, and now, illuminated by the station's dim lighting, it looks almost ghoulish. Odd shapes seem to jut out at unnatural angles, and steam billows around it almost menacingly.
It's definitely not the model you're used to, but there aren't any other trains scheduled for the rest of the night, and no other passengers waiting. Maybe your usual train was still stuck miles away, and they sent this old thing instead? You look around for the stationmaster, just to double check, but he's nowhere to be found. You take a step forward towards the train, and mingled with the smell of burning coal you can faintly catch the sweet, soothing scent of a rose. It seems to be coming from the foremost cabin.
With one last glance back towards the empty station, you slowly make your way up the stairs to the first train car.
October at long last! The days get cooler, the nights get longer, and better yet, the mosquitoes go back to Hell where they belong. Best of all, though? Halloween, and the celebration of all things spooky. To celebrate my favorite holiday and also my birthday month I thought I'd make a few horror-themed giveaways. Train currently has four cars, but I plan to add one each day for a few days after. All giveaways will end sometime on the 30th.
If you want to say thanks, feel free to recommend some music down below. Or just tell me about your plans for Halloween if you celebrate :)
Edit: A new cart has been added! Come check it out (and say hi to your kitty friend).
