In the site search box make the Magnifying Glass the enter key

This has been suggested before and I really wonder why it has not been implemented yet...

i remember there being dicussions about it as well and that pretty much everyone agreed to it.

btw... i just tried it out and the magnifying glass works for me o_O think cg agreed to it as well?
or am i looking at something different than you meant?

I asked the same thing last year. I really don't understand how such a simple and fundamental thing gets ignored.

It's not something that really impacts or bothers me (most of the time xD). I generally use SG on my computer, so when I search I instinctively click enter. I'd still appreciate seeing a more conventional approach to the search bar though, with something to click.

Why the symbol isn't actually a button/link already, baffles me. There are certainly more positives to having it be a button than not (I can't think of any reasonable negatives), and it's simple to implement.

Alternatively, they should just remove the symbol to save on the confusion.
