I finished it at 56.7 hours with 43/48 achievements. I even found the hidden room at the end of everything. Quite an enjoyable pixel graphic RPG. :)
I think I may fumble around in Fallout 76 next. I just play these games a few minutes here and there as I slog my way through my wins backlog.
Anyway for an indie title I felt it was rather good.

I didn't really look at the reviews for this one, just decided to try it for the pixel graphics. I was not disappointed. I've been enjoying Octopath Traveler 2 on the xbox.

I had my expectations for it after really enjoying The Messenger but after seeing streamers play the game, I ended up kinda disappointed. I'm glad others enjoy it, though.

It's been on my wishlist but I have sooo many games in my backlog treasure trove that I can't justify getting it yet.

Yea there are a lot of things I would like to play but I would like to get my backlog under control. I only played this for 30 minutes or so every day.

I hated this game so much. I had high expectations after playing The Messenger, but it was nowhere near as good. The writing is awful and the characters have no personality. I never at any point cared what happened to them, so there were basically no stakes. The only parts I liked were the parts with connections to The Messenger.

The story is pretty lacking but most games out there are far worse, maybe you haven't played many games and only go for things you are almost certain you will enjoy. I've played a lot of really bad games and this wasn't one of them. It's pretty easy but there are ways to make it a lot harder but I detest "Souls like" so that was fine with me. The story is about even with most of the Final Fantasy games I played. For example look at VIII, everyone was in the same orphanage but nobody remembers everything and the main bad person ran the orphanage and for some reason you end up going to the moon... Wasn't a bad game but the story was out of there.

That's true, I do only buy games I'm sure I'll like. My standards for entering giveaways here is a bit lower, but even then I try to only enter for games I think I have a somewhat decent chance of enjoying. Other than Sea of Stars, the only games that most other people love but I don't are Hyper Light Drifter (frustrating, overly punishing combat and lack of text) and The Stanley Parable (I just didn't 'get' it).

uff there are so many games other people like that I just can't get into, like I said the "Souls like" games and the Souls game themselves people seem to love but I detest something that is overly hard all the time. I also don't care too much for point and click games but the Deponia games are pretty decent. I certainly don't fault people for their choices, I know games like X-COM and State of Decay aren't everyone's cup of tea either.
