As Valve don't ever reverse a VAC ban, even if you were hacked when you got flagged for one, VAC bans aren't a totally positive indicator of dickishness.

As for not owning it himself, I won't even get into the ways that's a ridiculous basis for assuming a giveaway is fake. By that logic, eight out of my twelve giveaways are fake.

;) and Ya, Exactly. I'm doing a Magicka DLC giveaway, and I don't own Magicka myself, let alone any DLC's from it, and Its 100% Legit (I mean, seriously, why would anyone fake a giveaway for an $1 Game DLC?). So, while it COULD be an indicator, No where near perfect.

I had a feeling this thread would pop up sooner or later. I entered that same giveaway even though it did seem a bit fake. After seeing that I didn't win I still check the giveaway everyday to see if the winners got their games and I see they didn't, so I'm pretty sure it was just a fake. I feel bad for the winners.

I don't like creating a bunch of the same threads, so I think my posting here would be a nice idea. I had a feeling that giveaway I won was pretty fake. After I reminded the submitter via Steam about the results, he wrote me "no thanks" and deleted me from friendlist. Really weird reaction for a person who wants to make a gift to someone, even its pure random stuff, hah.
