Hi, I have a problem. I bought with my 2 keys a Batman AC Goty from one trustfully trader(A) and I sold this game for Cs GO with some other trader(B). But valve removed a Batman game from his library. He(B) wrote to steam support and valve answered him this message: http://i40.tinypic.com/2rx7btf.jpg . But both trades were fair and trader(A) bought this game from store. What should I do? It's not my fault, but guy(B) wants from me a new batman game. It's a my first problem with this. Should I give him a new batman game or not?

I wrote to steam support too about this situation and they answered me a little bit same message: His account was reported for actions relating to item trading scams. As a consequence, we have removed any scammed items/gifts from his account. He will not get any lost items/gifts back.

I'd say trades are final. You don't have to give him a new Batmam.

Well since you traded the game it would be appropriate to return it BUT in most cases traders do not care what happens after the trade.Even though giving batman would be nice thing to do i doubt that most of the traders do that. You could apologize him and say that you had no idea about the game being scammed and say that you can't do anything about it.

In the end like steam support always says ''it's not our fault it's yours''

I apologized to him already and said it's not my fault, but he still wrote me " How we do now? " everytime. I said wait for answer from steam support. Then he wanted a money from me for buying batman, I said when summer steam sale come I will have maybe a money for that , but when steam summer sale arrived, I'm seeing every day a message about this.

if both trades were done through steam's trade window, i don't believe you are under any obligation to provide a replacement for the lost game.
Valve says "All trades are final."

If that is a legit trade for you and you couldn't do anything with Steam Support, then yes you should give him the game.

Edit: Wait, I didn't read the answer you got from Steam Support. If he got CS:GO with a scam, you shouldn't give him any game now.

Maybe he broke license, I would say it is his fault

Aren't you allowed to invert the trade in this cases?

If Valve believes he's a scammer and they removed Batman by accidentally including it to the list of games he scammed other users for, then I don't see why you should do anything. It's not you who made him lose that game. Not to mention that him demanding a compensation from you only makes Valve's claim seem more valid to me.

Edit: However it if was only Batman that got revoked from his list, it may be Trader A who's at fault here. You both may keep asking Valve for details and explaining the situation. But something's not right here.

well my advice is to let him sort it out with steam. its not YOUR job to return the game to him, as you did not scam him, and valve 'insures against every trade done through its trading system', valve needs to go through the process of reversing the trade. that MAY leave you without csgo, if that happens, YOU then need to contact valve and get them to return your keys to you. YOU dont have to do anything, let valve sort it out... but keep your eye on your copy of cs go!

If you can, ask Trader A if he didn't done anything with that Batman purchase (like chargeback). Also, did you bought those TF2 keys from MannCo/TF2Store or traded them/steam market - maybe those keys were bought from stolen credit cards and got revoked?

But there's something strange here, since they only deleted his Batman, but didn't do anything with your CSGO...

I asked a trader A, and he answered me, that he bought a batman from store. I also bought from him three another games and they are OK, no problem. I bought tf2 keys from another user on Tf2oupost.

But did Trader A made any charge backs, or some bank/paypal issue?

Because Valve wrote something that sounds like "Batman was purchased in scam way, so we took it away".

re: nothing happening to his csgo - not really, valve doesnt look at the trade history when a charge-back occurs unless someone submits a ticket about losing an item. and it wouldnt matter if the keys went through the market, because if he bought them, it becomes a legitimate purchase by the buyer (in this case jirkason), so valve would not have revoked the keys...

Valve is indicating the original purchase of Batman is acquired via scam, meaning guilty party is person A. The screensht is saying person A scammed someone else to get Batman. At least that is how I would interpret it.

Looks like there is more to this story.

Didn't Valve usually revert all the trades (down the chain) made after the game was stolen?

Ask your trader A for proof of purchase, that should be enough to exonerate him and you.
