Exactly what i think.
I have GTA IV, EFLC, Dirt2 and Dirt3 and GFWL doesn't bother me at all.

Which, in my experience for all three of those, is no problem at all. It's all subjective.

Honestly I don't mind DRM's too much and GFWL is not bad i just wish they would do something about their gui interface its a little outdated now.

Give them away if you want. It might be worth mentioning in the description though that it requires GFWL.
I don't have that much of a problem with it, yes it's not pretty, yes it's a bit buggy, yes it can be annoying. But for DiRT 3 and FlatOut UC, it's not caused me any significant headache. Fallout 3 though I lost my savefiles once, but I had backed them up to Dropbox so it wasn't a problem.

I would most definitely mention they were GFWL games so everyone is aware - of course....I don't think everyone reads the descriptions all the time =p
Thanks for the replies so far (16). I think the games with MP, or maybe just heavy MP, would be the hardest since the MP is dead as many of you have stated. I'd probably mention this as well; however, the giveaways for that would be to hopefully spark a little more interest in those games. I know I can get some people from other areas (i.e. x360a and TA forums) to play some MP stuff. The hassle is just getting a date/time to do so heh.

I like it because of the achievements, but other than that its crap. Problems may occur with install/uninstall/update. Not supporting mods. Difficult to backup save files which sometimes just got corrupted.

I actually came to Steam for the potential deals on GFWL content. I've now got all but a few titles though there are a few that I got outside of Steam that I wouldn't mind replacing.

The real issue with gifting GFWL titles is that whilst the game itself may not be region locked the Live service itself is. So whilst people will be able to play the game, they may not be ale to access the multiplayer or other features

I don't like GFWL games as well. Infact I hate it.

I've only had a problem with it because gotham city imposters used such a crap system that it could never connect to a match. Other games like the batmans or street fighters I've had no issues with. So my personal stance is positive overall.

Dunno why all the hate for GFWL. I have B:AS and B:AC GoTY. Never had any problems without it except once when my B:AC save game disappeared. But I was playing offline. Once I logged back on, got the save from the cloud. After I logged in the first time, I don't have to bother with it again so idk why all the hate.

I have Steam, Origin, GFWL, Desura - got them in that order.
Steam was a bit annoying 7 years ago, when I got it. But it evolves to be better. Best digital distribution platform to me. Although I recently have some issues logging in browsers. It says that I entered wrong password until captcha pops up and then accepts the same password with no problem.
Origin is not very intrusive, but I had some issues regarding installing/uninstalling games, like when I uninstalled BF3 and the next time I launched Origin, it silently started downloading all 22GB to C: (while Origin games directory is on D:), ending up crashing the system when free space reached zero. I also have some complaints with the shop, as language version happens to be wrong sometimes and in special editions and bundles there's usually no info on language versions or included DLCs - the best example is Mass Effect Collection, where there's no info on languages (turned out every game has different - regional cinematic for ME1, regional dubbed for ME2 and English for ME3) and DLCs. Bad contact with support - two emails regarding that issue went unresponded and I finally got the info... from the person who bought it.
GFWL - usually no problems, but it stole whole keyboard input from my Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition a few times. Even in hidden mode, keystrokes went to GFWL overlay and not the game and I had to kill the process and start again several times to get it working. Also, when not launched for a few months, it was updating for several ATTENDED hours, requiring manual installation of some system components. I didn't even bother to use the shop (I'm in the region MS hates). I didn't launch it for 6 months and now I'm really afraid to try my newly aquired Arkham Asylum, because I imagine the tedious GFWL update I have to go through before playing.
Uplay - I played entire Splinter Cell: Conviction, both single and coop without a hassle, wth the exclusion of two annoying drops in coop due to uplay losing connection. After that I didn't lauch it for over a month. After that I had to update it, which took 2 hours of downloading (on 6MBit ADSL), 6 uplay restarts and one system restart. After that I had several bad logins until I was finally able to login, then a uplay+game crash. Finally I was able to lauch a game and from there it went smooth. But I've seen first person two other people having uplay drops in Assassin's Creed sa bad, that it made game unplayable. One went for the crack (for the legit game!) and the other abandoned game entirely. Ubishop is pointless for me. I can get better prices and decriptions from steam or other places.
I haven't use Desura enough to say anything except that interface is counterintuitive for me.
All that said, I continue to use all those systems and I think that says it all. Back when we used CDs/DVDs there were also issues: scratched discs, failing drives, securom was a nightmare for quite some time, especially when you used virtual drives (and I had to for my work), and if you wanted to play on a laptop without carrying bunch of discs everywhere you had to use nocd cracks or miniisos. Digital distribution is much more convenient to me.

yup, it took me about 4 hours to update mt GFWL to be able to play Batman, since I haven't used that s#itty piece of "software" since I last played GTA IV. Also, I had some problems and didn't have any Internet for 2-3 days, and could I play Batman? No ,because that S#!t required me to sign in, even though I could play my other istalled games with Steam on Offline mode. So I actually hate GFWL.

I take that none of where not on GFWL Last week because if you had been the service want dark and dumb a$$ at MShalf show it as working and they couldn't even be bothered to update the network status to show that it was really off line for 4 days last week.
In fact there where lot people with this problem go look for your self here Games for Windows General Game Discussion or Games for Windows Forum Connection / Networking
Run Games for Windows Marketplace the app never start but all you get is a Dialog Box that saying
"Connection Error"
Can't start the program. there may be a problem with your Internet connection or the LIVE service. Open Internet Explorer and try to open a web page. If you can't contact your ISP. If you can browse the internet, you can find more help in the Internet connection problems help file.
With three button option Troubleshoot or View help or Close
Even know I could log in with in the game, GFWL it self automatic disconnect or sign-out randomly sometime right way sometime it would work a bit longer or other not all, and yes one of the biggest problem with GFWL is that it all release DLC and any Game purchase through them that mean you can never backup them up god help when MS take PC side of thing offline.

Only thing I hate about GFWL is how difficult they made it to play with a friend (in SSFAE). Compared to Steam, it's a lot harder to connect with friends

GFWL is a blight in the history of gaming.
It has 2 modes. The newer one is region-restricted to less than half the world. The older one has install limits. So, depending on the game, you'll either be excluding a large percentage of possible entrants or you'll be giving a limited rental.
Also, GFWL is notorious for deleting save games, failing to start, failing to update, disconnecting you mid-game, etc. I only have 1 game with it and I've experienced all those problems. So, if you ask me, avoid it like the plague it is.
Edit: Oh, and, of course, GFWL kills multiplayer. So it's online DRM for offline games.

It fucked up my savegames for Bioshock 2, so you might know my answer ;)

Hey all, from the individual game discussion boards (on Steam) it looks like people do buy GFWL games; however, the consensus seems to be people hate GFWL and thus prefer not to really get the games through Steam.
I, for one, have never had a problem with GFWL and was thinking about doing some giveaways for some of the GFWL games. So, I've come to the forums to see what people think of this or if I'd just be wasting my time/money on GFWL games to giveaway =/
Thanks for your input!
