What was your favorite game in your childhood? My fav. game was Lego Island, It was just like GTA actualy but then with legos, you had to achieve mission to get block for your home... it was awesome! And also Battlefield heroes :P

I don't have one in particular, but many.

I can mention: Castlevania: Bloodlines, Super Punchout, TMNT: Turtles in Time, Donkey Kong Country, Metal Slug, KOF, Samurai Shodown, Alien vs. Predator (Atari Jaguar), Val d'Isere Skiing and Skateboard, Syndicate, Deus Ex, Quake II, Intelligent Cube, PaRappa the Rapper, WipeOut, Virtua Fighter 1 PC, MDK, Armored Core, Tenchu, Tekken, Pandemonium, Final Fantasy 7+8, Thrill Kill (released pirated in my country), and Crash Team Racing.

Was looking forward to these unreleased games: Thea Realm Fighters (Jaguar), Steven Seagal is the Final Option, Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice

Don't know the title anymore. It was a racing game that I used to play with my cousin a lot. It had purple, yellow and silver car and split screen, different weather conditions, gas stations.

And Doom.

Edit: Found the title: Lotus the Ultimate Challenge

I had many games like Mario, Prince of Persia, Sensible Soccer, Mortal Kombat, Legacy of Kain Series, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, ISS Pro Evolution Soccer, Contra, Cannon Fodder, Goal 3, Super Frog. It's hard to choose only one. From sports games I think the best is still ISS Pro Evolution Soccer from PS One. Maybe graphic now is terrible but gameplay is a lot better than in PES and FIFA. From normal games with stories, world ect. I think the best was Legacy of Kain Series. Great everything. Sounds, voice acting, characters, story, locations. Great great game. The Legacy of Kain Series will be only one remaster game I will buy. So... I'm waiting Square Enix to do that soon ;)

Ha, I'm always shocked how many people go to video games for their favorite games of childhood/ when i was a kid I loved games like Red Rover, freeze tag, olleolle over, or just plain old cowboys and Indians.

What age do you consider "childhood"? 12 and under? If so, then probably something on the Atari 2600. That one with the different colored dragons that chased you and you have to find a key, and there was a bridge that I always ended up misplacing and couldn't grab again.

I don't have favorite but I remember the games that I played the most.
Gauntlet on the Atari. Gobliins on my uncle's PC back then. Super Mario Bros. on the NES of course!
Then came the Playstation and I played GTA 1, London and 2 quite some time!
Black & White was pretty neat when our family bought their first PC too.

Pff it's a good question... I played a lot of time with Age of Empires I/II, Ford Racing 2, Knights and Merchants, Medal Of Honor AA, and Heroes IV with my brothers, and Jazz Jack Rabbit in single... My first ownpayed game was the NFS Most Wanted when i was eleven. It was awesom...

Too many to mention. The Genesis Sonic games, the Classic Mario Bros. games, The old school Legends Of Zelda, and the Squaresoft RPGs of yore are a few.
