Hey guys,
ive just received a chat request in steam from a member named "dominikpgl".
i accepted the request and the only thing that this guy sent me was a link to a steam page where u are offered free games. its obvious that this page is a phishing site since it also asks for the steam email adress. just wanted to warn you. i wil not post the full link since i dont want anybody to click the link and sent the information by mistake. but you will find a picture of the page right here(screenshot taken with my comp):

http://www.imagebanana.com/view/c9vhc5of/Unbenannt.jpg

the link:
http://store.steampXXXX.XX.nu/Offer/

also the adress obviously tells u that the page cannot be made by steam itself.

just wanted to warn you!
keep ur eyes open.

People who's greedy enough

I got fooled back in February and I got my account stolen, I thought I was doomed because I preordered Portal 2

Fortunately Steam support helped me to get my account back

I also don't like the name and the avatar when my account got stolen.

email password... I loled so hard when I saw this.. why in the hell steam should need your email password? the guy that put this up must be new to the scam scene... even the scams and keyloggers I was used to do on the gunbound times were way more convincent xD

The url in the summary doesn't work for me (no doubt those X's are characters you blanked in case of people reading your topic, visiting the site, and still getting fooled somehow), but google search takes me to http://www.realjob.info/, which appears to be another domain for the scam that you're talking about.

whois report for the scam site

Thanks for the heads up maikimaik. This scam in particular is just a tad too obvious, however :).

Duh, whoever falls for this is a moron.

Notice the fabulous spelling of 'quit'

And the lack of capital letters.

If you're gonna do a scam, at least do it properly.
