People that tell the others to massive blacklist someone should be punished in some way?
It's going to happen and there's no way to regulate it.
You'll just have to optimistically (and probably unrealistically) believe that people are capable of thinking for themselves and deciding who to blacklist on their own.

Several of our members have either came to me or came out in public and said they had this guy blacklisted well before this group even existed. All of his story is fabricated and now that the truth is out(few posts below this) he's only going to get blacklisted some more. I told the guy to move on with his life before he made his situation worse and he goes and does this.

I believe it's against the rules to post trash about somebody, especially telling other users to blacklist/block/report you. You should report it and hope nobody else blacklists you. Seeing as you've given $400 in items on here, it should be clear that it was just an honest mistake.

It's against the rules to post something like that here, but if they post it in their group or say stuff like that on steam, they're not breaking the rules of this site. They only apply here and not on steam groups (even if they're focused on SG).

True, but Steam also has a policy about openly trash talking and what not. So either way, they're breaking rules and can get banned from the website they're using.

But what do they consider "openly?" If it's in chat, then it won't be considered that. Also, they can't get banned here if they break steams rules. It's up to steam to take action (and it's very likely steam doesn't give a shit).

I believe openly would be considered making posts about it. They can't do anything about Chat rooms, I believe, though it never specified in their terms. And I'm sorry, I meant if they're posting on Steam, their Steam account would get banned, not sure what would happen to their SG though. I guess I'll respond since the integrity of not only myself but my group is being questioned.
OP aggressively messaged me on Steam telling me what rules I need to add to MY group. So I made rules, I told people about the rules. I warned people for a week to stop breaking the rules. And then I told people I was done warning because the rules had been in place for a good amount of time and everyone should be aware of them or get kicked. So skip to a few days later and the VERY first rule I made was broken by the guy who was so aggressive towards me about making rules in the first place. To be consistent I kicked user crazyfaith, who then proceeded to add me on Steam again, first telling me he didn't break any rules. So I explained to him what rule he broke. His story then changed to he skipped reading parts of the rules, which doesn't really effect my decision at all. After I told him I made my final decision he then called me a bunch of expletives on Steam, went to my giveaway recruitment thread and tried arguing with me again, and said something like I'm a horrible human being and karma will get me back etc etc. At this point I'm just laughing because I'm just trying to run a drama free/chill giveaway group and this guy is over there having a heart attack over nothing like it's the end of his world.
Now let me tell you a few things about this user crazyfaith.

Also just for the record, I never told anybody from my group to blacklist this user. If he got blacklisted it was 100% their decisions and I have not mentioned to anybody in my group that they need to blacklist someone. I did however with the backing of SG support tell all my users that if he wins a giveaway he shouldn't be entering in the first place, that you are more than welcome to re-roll and give the game to an actual member, not to someone exploiting the system.

I rarely talk to anybody in the group on Steam unless it's to make an announcement or if they ask me something. Out of the 135 members we have I only have 10 or so of them on my friends list so I wasn't going to all of them to get this guy blacklisted. I really have better things to do in life than to hold grudges and his previous and current actions are what got him blacklisted and I have nothing to do with it despite what he claims I did.

There's really not much of a technical way to stop this type of behaviour.
You can't somehow stop massive blacklisting. As this might occur for a good reason (such as someone being a complete bastard in a thread and everyone reading it blacklisting them).
It's a community-problem and should be dealt with in the community (through words for example).
Either that or completely ignored since having haters dictate your life and mood wouldn't be much fun.

You can blacklist for no reason. You can kick someone from a group from no reason. The person wanted you to be blacklisted by as many people as possible, the person can say that to you, members don't have to comply though, since it's not trackable. "I'm just giving notice to everyone that, when I kick someone from the group they can still enter our giveaways up until they either synch their profile or it auto sychs(which is like once a week). I have expressed my displeasure about this to SG support because people I kicked several days ago are still entering and winning giveaways for a group they aren't in.
So to counter this I will be posting names of recent people I kicked. If any of these people have won a giveaway or win one later on you have Steamgifts permission as well as mine to re-roll to give the game to someone who is actually in the group.

Okay I will explain my situation we know somone can blacklist another user for whatever reason but what if an user tell the others to blacklist someone for X reason? In my case I got kicked from a steam group for putting locked region games "breaking the rules" and the admin of that group told the members to blacklist me because he wanted to, I think this is abusing his power and in someway should be punished, I mean why this people can abuse the system of blacklisting and tell the others what to do? what do you think this should be punished in someway or not?
