HOLY MOLY !!! This is one of the first fighting games I played ever when I was 8 years old and only now I found out that it's Killer Instinct because of your gif !! We had a console of some sorts in our daycare and I still remember me and my friends slide attacking each other to death with the skeleton guy ("Spinal" it seems). And an girl who did cartwheels (orchid it seems). Insta whitelisted for being the reason of me finding out the name of the game <3 <3

I found the info that it's apparently free2play on Windows 10 store, with 1 character unlocked in weekly rotation. Steam edition is more like "complete/premium" experience. But again... didn't have SNES, never got into the series, will maybe try it if I find it discounted next year...

The ki gold is only used to shortcut the level up feature for characters, which is how you unlock colours. Not defending it, but its not really bullshit

Cool, wish I had a xbone. Though over here, the definitive edition seems to be sold at a slightly higher price than the steam version, so it's possibly not universally cheaper. Anyway, cheers for the info
The whole season thing really pisses me off, basically makes it not worth buying a game for a couple years since it won't be complete. Mortal Kombat X, Street Fight V, this, and now Marvel vs Capcom infinite all did it

It is kind of retarded that they didn't add the free version as a demo. It works really well for that purpose.
Game's also pretty solid, and at it's mid-tier pricing it's got a pretty good cast of characters avaialble too. I might have to cave in and grab a copy now.

hehe, nice thread ... and I agree with most of these keywords/tags mentioned there, though I'm much too lazy to hide giveaways most of the time. I only hide them when they clutter my recommended section. Wish we could justhide giveaways by tags. Steam offers that option for the store page, but only for 3 tags, I need more.

I hope this is going to make it easier, and raise interests in people porting the character models of it to Gmod. That said, cant afford it like everything else so nope, no trying this one.

Is nice to see microsoft releasing their stuff for win 7 but it's too expensive for me, specially for a series I've never played before and feel no nostalgia for (yes, I think nostalgia is at least a fourth of a fighting game appeal nowadays).

Kind of came out of nowhere, for me at least. Knew the steam version was in the works, but was expected to hear about the release date in advance.
Anyway, really happy to see it out, and the price is really good since it is supposed to have all content
