Hi all, I have several games from the recent Humble Deep Silver bundle I've been holding off on listing due to discussion of region restricted keys. I'm in North America, and redeemed a few today and it said NA+ROW (which I'm assuming the keys were North America+Rest of World).

Can anybody confirm if the keys in this bundle work for ROW if they are purchased in North Amercia? Anybody in this situation had any problems?

In particular, games I won't need are Sacred 3, Saints Row 2, Saints Row 3, and Killer is Dead. thanks,

They aren't ROW, they just work in a selection of countries outside of NA.

I saw that a few days ago and was why I waited, but WOW what a mess!

I can say only about Risen and Risen 2. Keys from NA was activated in CIS. Risen marked as Risen Retail and Risen 2 Gold - as Risen 2 Gold EU.

I am also in NA and confused about this. I will be giving away the 2 Risen games, 2 Saints Row games, and Sacred 3, but I'm not exactly sure where they can be activated.

wow. I sortof just wished steamgifts had a North American region restriction just for this. Kindof afraid to put up giveaways.

I know what you mean. We definitely need a "other" region option in which we can just tick the countries we need. Some people will exploit it for sure, but it'll be a lifesaver for the rest.

I can confirm that Saints Row IV purchased in NA will activate in Australia.

There are too many variations in what people have been saying in order to be sure if the keys will work in other countries.

I would suggest making GAs only for the region you bought the bundle in (if that is allowed), just to be sure.

There isn't one for US only sadly. So those of us in the US, like myself, have no option to resolve this but rerolls.

It does, first time I've had this issue, I've only heard of it being an issue with outside the US purchases.

Yeah, I've read a lot about this bundle on steamgifts, the keys are a real mess. Hopefully you will find some good US winners.

Thankfully, only one of the people had an issue, that one, out of both sets I put GAs of, so not too bad. I assume support is still bogged down, so patiently waiting for them to get to the reroll.

So if I'm in European country, do I actually have to share it as restricted something? I never saw an option for Europe when creating gifts...

see links above. Some of the region restrictions on some of the games don't match options on steamgifts. No good solution I don't think.

I'm waiting on support for one of these right now, Killer is Dead won't work in UK apparently, so need waiting for a reroll.

I had an SGTools "real_won_region_restricted == 0 AND real_sent_region_restricted == 0" rule to limit many users that wouldn't be able to activate, and had the description, "Gift from the recent Deep Silver HB. This game was purchased in NA, if you are in a region-restricted area you should not join this GA as you will likely be unable to activate."

In the end, I was told to open a ticket to delete the giveaway instead being granted of re-roll.
