What did you expect? A game key? Before trading, you should've learned a bit about it.

your right
rule #1 steam comments are not rep they are comments and can be made by anyone and bad ones deleted
rule #2 verify any rep they link as many just copy past profiles pics and names

at lest he only lost $2 but also report it to steam they wont give items back but will ban the guy

DId you use that CSGO key? because you just posted the code for everyone to see

Permalink

If the code was for CSGO, you could have gotten at least 2 keys for it.

The key was for Magicka 2 and Stount wanted to buy it. If it was actually cs:go, cs:go costs a lot these days, even if it's a key, because cs:go can't be bought as a gift during the sale.

  1. Calling out is against the rules of this forum. Please read the FAQ (link at the top of the site)
  2. It looks like an origin key, not steam key

Wrong magicka 2 not in origin

Yep it is not, my bad. Just close this thread and make what LuckyShamrock told you. If a mod sees this thread you can be banned.

First of all, calling out is against the rules (so remove the pictures from here or else the mods will suspend your account). Secondly, report him on steam support, steamrep (although I think they don't accept reports for fake keys - someone give me info about that), and -rep him on steamgifts. Use all these photos and explain the situation, in order to report him. Also, never trust people that randomly add you.

You are welcome. Add me if you want more info about how to find him on steamgifts and how to report him. Don't worry too much, it's just one key. :)

Yes, but like I said, calling out here is against the rules and the moderators may suspend your account or may close your thread. :/ Just report him where I told you to.

And what is his steamgifts rep? I'm assuming he doesnt have 1.
Your greed lead you to this outcome. Take this as a lesson and be more level headed next time.
As mentioned above there is nothing the support can do to help and calling out is against the rules (which will get you suspended), best remove the pictures and take it fiasco as a lesson.

Most big trader just accept invites because of potential trades (and keep them on their friend's list for a few days/weeks to let the person talk about the trade). You can't look at friend's list for reputation also

Nobody really looks at steam profile reps actually [You can easily manipulate steam profile comments] (There are lots of steam rep boost groups out there that scammers use)

Anyway this might be a good read https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/Idw0Z/make-faq-about-trades .
Do research for trades before doing them, if not you are going to be scammed most of the time

I know people who lost their life savings in simillar way :/ Usually if offer is too good to be true... it's not true xD
Hope you learned your lesson :)

If someone scammed you, report him to Valve and Steamrep with evidence. Do not create forum threads about it.
