Duke nukem forever = a good game or no?

Most people would say no.

It had good ideas but it fell short gameplay-wise. The reason why that happened is because since it took over 14 years to make 3D Realms had to keep remaking the game with an updated engine every few years. After the company fell under, Gearbox picked up the scraps and made the game in a year. I still regret preordering it to this day...

No. It's really just another poor FPS...I suffered through it and the ending was disappointing.

it is not exceptional, which is what people expect(ed) after 12 years or so.
the game itself, both technical and content side are good enough, if you can stomach the juvenile humor throughout the game.
for 5-10$/€ there's enough game :)

It's worth the $5. There is fun to be had with it if you're not a sheep and listen to everyone elses opinions.

If you like terrible games perhaps, It's certainly not worth more than a dollar since you'll get more gameplay and depth of plot out of Fortix.

For 5$ DNF isn't "bad" it's just about right for the short campaign and poor outdated jokes. The DLC has some funny stuff in it.

If you're one of the people who waited 12 years for DNF, 5$ is ok.

I picked it up for $5 t'other day. I played the demo and wouldn't have bought it for any more than $5. Imagine if your dad was trying to be cool in front of you for a few hours...taking you to a strip-club, talking about how the girls there have nice tits/asses, making fart and poop jokes, getting drunk...then you get kicked out of the strip-club and he starts a drunken fight with the bouncers and the police. If that's your idea of fun, you'll enjoy it.

Oh, right...if I had one sentence to describe this game it would be:
"You can throw feces in this game..." that pretty much sums it up. LOL

It's not good but it's not bad nether.

It's not a great game. It's an ok game at best. But if you like the character Duke Nukem, I do think it's worth 5.00. It's not nearly as bad as most people say it is. Too much hype and the legendary development time means it couldn't possibly live up to anyone's expectations. It's an alright-ish game.

I bought it for 2,50 $. I didn't played it yet, but for sure I will no regret it.

Not bad as a shooter, VERY BAD AS A DUKE NUKEM WHICH HAS BEEN RELEASED 12 YEARS LATER.

This game has been in development since, like, forever! And it's exactly 2 generations older than its release date! Most of the reviewers gave the game low scores and it has a bad metacritics profile.

You can get it if it's extremely cheap, but I think it would be a better choice if you wait for a better deal.

Wouldn't pay more than 10 bucks on it. The $5 is well worth it. It's an overall fun game.

I had a "pleasure" to play it at my friends house one day. Played like 2h or so.
I would not buy it, never, ever. It's the worst game I've seen in years. A lot of indie games are way better than this.

If You have to spend anything on it (it's not free then, btw :P) - don't bother. Spend that money on something at least decent :P

Eh, It's OK, not particularly great, I got mine from GMG for like $1.75, so I was happy with that.

(For the record, D3 sucks.)
