Duke nukem forever = a good game or no?

I thought it was okay, it wasn't amazing, but it wasn't the worst game I've ever played by far.

As i didnt play other Duke Nukem games, i found this one kinda allright, it wasnt the best game i ve ever played but niether the worst.

its up to your expectations - most people expected miracles after those years of development. I expected nothing and had great fun with it especially after patch (added another 2 weapon slots). But for CoD generation gamers(young gamers nowadays) its probably something horrible i would say - for me its solid 7.5/10 game after patch

A friend loved it, and bought me a copy to play. It gave me motion sickness and I quickly stopped playing.

It's just the worse version of Bulletstorm.

Take my advice and buy a copy of Duke Nukem 3D - same price of 5 bucks as DNF, then install High-Resolution Pack and enjoy. I bought DNF but it wasn't worth it really...

I liked this game. Really. Dont expect some good gameplay, but "Duke Nukem Forever is the best parody on Duke Nukem Forever". Very funny sometimes, with lots of easter eggs and so on.

For free, you have nothing to lose. I really enjoyed it a lot for what it was - just a shooter. I throw on some tunes and just chill out and play DNF. DNF was never going to satisfy anybody anyway after such a long development cycle. Free is a good price for DNF.

Its not really that bad how cod sheeple , consolists (both console ports are pretty horrible) and pirates(they dont have that critical patch and great dlc) make it to be. Its pretty fine game on PC

IIRC, the flaws are that it's gone through around 14 years of development hell and the end result had shown. Gearbox merely put on a few touches before releasing. Most of that mess is 3D Realms'.

it's not horrible like most people say, infact realistically no game could've lived upto 12yrs of hype. not even Skyrim. worth the money imo. i've bought two copies now just because they're cheap (pc & xbox)

I find Duke Nukem as best fps of 2011, so I think yes, it's worth it.

Eh, I think the biggest problem with it is the 12 years of hype really. It's by no means a Game of the Year, but it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Basically if you liked Duke 3d you should like it unless you're expecting it to be the greatest game ever.
