Yep. Just look at the reviews being posted today: http://store.steampowered.com/app/346110/ARK_Survival_Evolved/

It's even more expensive in the UK. It's £55 which is ~ $71. That's more than any brand new AAA game. Why they think people are gonna pay that ridiculous amount is so stupid!

Well, at least you can claim Brexit is working in your favor here.
Rest of Europe pays 69,99€ = $79.70 instead.

There's something up with Steam's regional pricing, it's not just Ark. I mean Lego marvel heroes 2 still had some pretty fucked up pricing, up until recently. I mean when it first became available to preorder it was asking 60 dollars, and 80 dollars USD for a fucking lego game. GMG was selling it for what 30 dollars, now it's 40 on steam. So while everyone is super pissed, there might actually be going on valves end.
Edit for clarification:
Price of Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 on steam right now: 40 USD, 80 CAD, (which is the price of an AAA game now ie 60 usd)

I heard Valve adressing it in some AMA or something and it's not up to them. they do suggest regional pricing aka cheaper in Russia, USD=EUR bullshit because "it's sanctioned by years of cross-ocean pricing" - which in itself is bullshit argumewnt. When CDs/DVDs were made in US and shipped to EU it could have sense (still not much as usually all were made in China), but not nowadays in digital era. But still my point is that even if Valve is proposing/suggesting some bullshit things like these EUR=USD thingies, but if you see something like this or even worse examples - like 20USD=40=EUR or making game cost in RU more than it does in the west - these are purely the business decisions of developer/publisher.

Eh, just wait. The price will come down sooner rather than later. It's their right to increase the price. No harm was done.

The price hike is to be in parity with retail are you kidding?Wow that is the dumbest excuse Ive seen in awhile. They could of you know just made the retail the same as digital like every other company.Funny thing is most of the time on the console it's just the retail copies that get discount while the digital ones stay full price.
Buy ARK: Survival Evolved
Includes ARK: Survival Evolved and ARK: Survival Of The Fittest
Now I see why they raised the priced because they added ARK: Survival Of The Fittest. As there is no way this game in it's current state is worth another 20 bucks.
Digital was meant to make games cheaper you wankers.I just wanted to add they can charge what they want but I can also not agree with it or like it and share my opinion on it.

Don't most games increase in price when they come out of early access? How is this news?

It's $60 now. Or
70€edit: after backlash, Euro - and some other probably too - price went down to more standard 60€. Yup, Check your price on Steamdb or straight on SteamOfficial tweet about retail parity
Oh, and you still have to separately buy the infamous Early-Access DLC/expansion.
So, if for some reason you couldn't get it during Summer Sale... I guess you should look at some reseller-sites like G2A until they don't catch the price-hike...
