I clicked it and can't see shit, because in Germany we can't watch videos or listen to music, if the GEMA wasn't paid..... stupid shit.

The video was funny, childish and dumb. But it's not my kind of music. Has never been.

Alan is a leecher, leechers are kind of assholes, but haunting a user for a bad post he made a month ago in a normal post he made is being a much bigger asshole, and something that would easily turn him away from being event the slightest active in the community, good job.
Comment has been collapsed.
Actually I still see tons of spammers/leechers/assholes who posted in the past that have been called out and still continue to post, so your theory has been debunked. You can use yourself as an example as well. Btw if the responses from his earlier thread didn't turn him away from participating in online forums, then I doubt this would. Is your asshole itchy? Good job.
Comment has been collapsed.
How I can take myself as an example? And there is a difference between getting response for a bad thread and haunting the person for that thread he made. And the whole point wasn't whether he would turn away from community or not, it is simply an asshole move to do what you did whatever the consequences are.
Comment has been collapsed.
You can take yourself as an example to your theory of how spammers/leechers/assholes that get called out in their thread most likely do not easily turn away from being even the slightest active in the community. If this isn't important, then why make that point in the first place? Secondly, I can't really haunt people because I'm not a ghost. Also, this was more of a huehue moment post as many people thought Op's previous thread was funny, which correlates to how funny the new Psy song is. If you can't understand the connection, then I guess there's no help for you.
Comment has been collapsed.
When was I being called out? and I see that you try to imply that I'm spammers/leechers/assholes, explain yourself.
I didn't say it wasn't an important point, I said it wasn't the primary point. Secondly don't start involving grammar and I'm well aware that it was for fun, but that is the problem, it was for fun on expense of OP. And don't say "his previous" thread when it was a month ago.
Comment has been collapsed.
The time when you made about 6 threads in 1 day and half of them were pretty much spam. People including me mentioned that fact. Secondly, I involve grammar when you are using words that don't mean what they are. If you don't want people to involve grammar points, then learn to use a dictionary/thesaurus if you don't know the meaning of certain words. Of course I would refer it as his previous thread as I don't recall the Op making a thread in between. The term previous doesn't have an expiration date. In the matter of having fun at someone else's expense, that happens every day and especially in online forums. If it bugs you so much you should stop doing it as well Do you make a Skyrim giveaway every day?
Comment has been collapsed.
6 threads? that was 3 thread if you don't include a thread I made a week before but was still being bumped. people including you? I remember only one or two people pointing that out. Half of them being particularly a spam? one was about me talking about Steam Support, in the second thread I asked something about community and third thread, was a game forum I tried to create which I spend almost an hour thinking and writing rules and guidelines, wow what a complete list of spams without even context. And don't compare that kind of calling out to the calling out you did here.
haunt [hɔːnt]
vb
I wasn't talking about whether it really his previous post or not, I was talking that it doesn't matter if it was his previous thread if it was a month/+ ago.
Maybe people make fun of other regularly on the forum, but that doesn't mean it makes you any less of an asshole if you do that as well, and there's a difference between making just fun of someone or haunting him for his past mistakes.
And the thread you linked, how do I make one sided assholish fun on their expense? damn, it surly hurt their feelings so much.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why does it not matter if his previous thread was a month ago? It still is his previous thread. Just because a month passes doesn't make it any less of a thread. So I haunted this guy huh? That's pretty funny considering this was my first post to him regarding that thread. Exaggerate much?
How do I make one sided assholish fun on their expense? Not sure what you mean here but I'm guessing you're calling out the other op an asshole? So why is he an asshole? He's just a guy making a recruitment thread. You're the asshole who starts trolling him.
Comment has been collapsed.
So you wanna say that no matter how much time passes a mistake of a past should always haunt him? especially after he actually made some giveaways.
I was criticizing your actions on this thread, I wasn't claiming that you were endlessly following him and haunting him with his post.
I wasn't calling him out an asshole, I meant that it wasn't an assholish remark, it was just a casual joke, maybe a lame one that none might've understood, but at least it didn't mean to criticize him or didn't hurt him in any way.
Comment has been collapsed.
How is this mistake haunting him exactly? Is it causing him sleepless nights where he is gnashing his teeth in a fevered dream? As you mentioned how you were joking with your other op, I was joking with this op as well, where I connected his previous funny thread to this funny song thread. I don't see how creating giveaways has anything to do with this.
According to your asshole definition, you were having fun at the expense of the other op, thereby making you an asshole, whether you see it as a casual joke or not. As I mentioned earlier, my joke correlation between the op's previous funny thread and this funny song thread was more of a huehue casual joke as well. You were the one who decided to blow it out of proportion.
Comment has been collapsed.
How is it haunting him? sure he made a thread and people bashed him all around, about it. yeah, it is such a pleasing memory to remember. And why do you think the thread was funny? because of what he said and how he was being bashed? Sure harmless fun, and the OP even responded with so much cheer and delight.
And now every joke is being on someone's expense? or you don't see the differences between our two "jokes"? And obviously the other OP replied to my joke with such dissatisfaction while this OP welcomed your joke.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why was it funny? Well to me it was funny because he was quite ballsy and blunt about what he wanted, despite sounding selfish, which made me and others lol while some others raged instead.
The other op actually decided to ignore your joke completely, which could be construed as being worse than any reply. As you are not either of the ops being mentioned, best not assume to speak or feel for them in regards to the jokes.
Comment has been collapsed.
It probably was ignored because it was of no interest, if it was somehow possibly offensive someone would point that out, otherwise I can't see how it could be offensive, if you of different opinion then please say what might've offended him.
Comment has been collapsed.
It was most likely seen as a snide remark on the type of giveaways the op makes. It is up to each user whether they make bundle giveaways or AAA skyrim giveaways.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, it is possible, but it is nothing personal so OP wouldn't be really offended, and I think mostly anyone would've realized it as just a silly remark because there's no group that gives away new AAA games on daily basis. But I would admit it to be untactful of me if the OP was offended by it in any possible way.
Comment has been collapsed.
And also, we have a point we debate, how making remarks on the grammar contributes to your point? as long as you know what I mean it should be of no significance.
Comment has been collapsed.
as long as you know what I mean it should be of no significance. What an ignorant statement. So basically you're saying as long as you get your point across, whether it be grunting or saying ooga booga that it doesn't matter? Of course it matters. Using a word, which doesn't mean what it is, or taking a word out of context to illustrate your point allows you to change its meaning any way you like. If that's the case why don't you just start saying gibberish, as long as people somewhat understand what the main point is?
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't see the problem, if a topic is being discussed or debated thru a language barrier, why should in any way effect the point that being discussed as long as the two parties somewhat understand each other and their points? Indeed it can cause some inconvenience, and if it causes so much inconvenience that you complain then you should just quit, if not then you need indeed just put up with it.
And for the sake of resolving this issue and advancing the debate then I replace all the "haunt"s I said till now with "calling out with an old stupid post he made" if you think it'll make the whole debate better, happy?
Comment has been collapsed.
Just going by your previous posts, I picked out one that posed a problem. maybe a lame one that none might've understood Maybe no one understood it because you couldn't get your point across in a coherent way.
Comment has been collapsed.
It wasn't the issue, I simply thought the joke would be funnier then it actually was, which happens to me alot.
Comment has been collapsed.
And also, what bugs is not people being assholes, what bugs is as I said; calling out people for stupid threads they made more than a month ago.
Comment has been collapsed.
Who cares how long ago the thread was made. There are tons of threads that get bumped or linked to no matter how long it's been, whether it's stupid or useful. If it bugs you so much, feel free to create your own private forum where no one is able to mention or bump a thread once a certain amount of time passes.
Comment has been collapsed.
There's nothing wrong with linking to to old threads, but there's differences between linkinmg to an old thread for reference in related context, and reminding something of the past the the person probably doesn't want to be reminded of, he even closed the thread by himself, so it probably does mean that he doesn't want the thread to be reminded. Who cares how much time passes? Ok I want to see you how you take responsibility for all the dumb things you ever done, doesn't matter how much time passed since then.
Comment has been collapsed.
As I said numerous times, I linked his previous thread which most people found hilarious and balls up to this thread which correlates to how funny the song is. Hence the wording Is it as funny as this? You say you understand why but I don't think you do since you keep saying that I'm bringing up an old thread for no reason. Btw I take responsibility just fine when people mention something funny I did in the past. I laugh along and say haha yeah I remember that. Same goes for other people I talk to as well. It's not something traumatic where someone committed a crime so what's the harm in that? Op could also be laughing and somewhat embarrassed. You're the one who is making such a big deal out of something so small.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, no matter how the humor was similar it still wouldn't be a reason to bring something like that. And if you honestly posted this thinking the OP wouldn't mind and laugh along and no harm will be done then I take my words back about you being an asshole, you just maybe lack some tact. But I doubt the OP didn't mind it, especially with his response to your comment.
And also there's a difference between doing something funny or something that people bashed you hard about it.
Comment has been collapsed.
It is your opinion that an old thread shouldn't be mentioned, while I think that it's casual and no harm in it. Seeing as how you stated that you think your jokes are funnier than it actually is and no one understanding them, which happens to you alot, I would say that you have a distorted sense of humor that the majority of other readers don't get.
I couldn't care less about the rage bashing that occurred in the op's previous thread and based on the op's closing remark to the thread, he couldn't care less either. I merely correlated the funny balls out part to this funny song thread.
Comment has been collapsed.
I didn't debate whether it was funny or not, some my sense of humor doesn't have anything to do with it. I only said that it was unthoughtful to remind something a person might not want other people to bringing back.
Comment has been collapsed.
I thought about it and it was a funny correlation so I brought it up, end of story.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, my initial point was that it's a dick move to bring up old mistakes to attack/laugh at someone. But as I said, if you honestly didn't have any bad intentions and didn't think the OP could be offended by it then I take back what I said about you.
Comment has been collapsed.
By the way, By alot I didn't mean the majority of times, I simply meant that it happened more than once or twice.
Comment has been collapsed.
The only thing I took away from that thread is how certain people on this forum can be such assholes.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well then you can consider yourself to be of a like mind with the OP and not accept why his post created such deserved response.
Comment has been collapsed.
No, I understand what you meant about him being a leecher, but I think a few things were said in there were pretty awful regardless of the context. Take care.
Comment has been collapsed.
I can understand your thoughts on how some of the replies may have gone a bit overboard but seeing the OP's unrepentant/zero-realization closing post dashed whatever small amount of pity that was felt and made it seem more than deserving imo. Take care as well.

Of course it counts, why the fuck wouldnt it? So if you are a successful non-english singer, you are not really successful because you dont sing in english?

because America doesn't listen to that and we're the only place that matters. duh
(which means spanish counts too, like on the voice. (but hopefully thats temporary like how italian got huge for a short time, or at least confined like Pennsylvania german and not permanent like stupid canada and french, we've already got their shit healthcare and taxes don't need their silly bilingual signs, else what could we make fun of america's hat for anymore? and if we can't hate on the hat what holds this country together?))
why ask such a silly question? o_O

It doesn't matter, all of his songs will live in the shadow of his once in a life-time hit.

Another POS song that internet will elevate to unreal highs of popularity? hoorah
Comment has been collapsed.
just b/c u dont know the meaning of a song u cant call it POS, the song itself is good, PSY writes controversial songs, but he did try too hard to copy Gangnam style and made it fail.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, and u call songs POS when u either dont know the actual meaning, or its not your style. Which is a dumb argument when u have nothing to back up your statement. So i was just telling him that there is a deeper meaning to it and that PSY uses these funny and dumb covers so that people will listen to them.
Comment has been collapsed.
not all songs are automatically awesome masterpieces of art and are only hated because they're misunderstood and you failed to grasp the transcendence of its higher meaning....some just happen to be crap
many don't even have a deeper meaning at all. And often they're only churned out for the money.
fine. if it has a secret deeper meaning that psy used the "dumb cover" to make people listen then I'll have to guess what that is.
in that case I'll assume the secret hidden meaning is that 'Merica goes around farting on people for no reason and thinks we're somehow awesome because of it.
_
(my so called "evidence" is this old article from youtube
" in 2004, a Korean missionary was captured in Iraq by Islamists who demanded that South Korea not send troops to aid America in the war in Iraq. Seoul refused to negotiate and the missionary was beheaded. The result: massive protests throughout Korea against the U.S. military for indirectly bringing this fate upon a Korean missionary.
As part of the protests, PSY and several other popular Korean musicians put on a live performance of a Korean rock band's song "Dear American." When PSY's turn came, he rapped: Kill those fucking Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives Kill those fucking Yankees who ordered them to torture; Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers Kill them all slowly and painfully" ;P)
so now you'll be more compelled to explain what the real secret hidden meaning is that makes the song better so I don't assume hes evil and dixie chick him
.
.
.
;) jk
real opinion is that he tried to copy his ganamstyle too hard
In this case it seems like he was just trying to hard. Like when numa numa guy made his 2nd video, same with daler mehndi made his next video with a reference to tunak tunak tun's youtube popularity. America has too much of the add to listen to a second song from this guy just because of the first (so mostly its back to his old career in korea unless he does something awesome(or so excessively generic we find it comforting, but he couldn't do that without changing genres so) "because hes a goofy asian" only works once and his old song was catchier is all.)

I thought the video was cute how he met a troll girlfriend who was perfect for him. The music video itself was really fun and he managed to make a song in another language that appeals to people who don't understand it- even if I'm not in love with the song it's pretty enjoyable for being just another pop song.
