I spent like 30 bucks. Sales start losing their appeal as your backlog gets bigger (and your bank account emptier).

I'll top out at $471, so I bow before you. I was hoping to hit $500, but I ran out of stuff I wanted. I went in with too many games and only aimed for good sales, so there was a limit to how much I actually could spend without breaking my own rules.

Dude, I haven't spent 500 in the last year! And I have almost 400 games just on steam! And that isn't counting the ones that either aren't on steam or weren't on PC.
