Will any of these items acquire space in your library?
over priced as normal - i just don't understand why or how anyone can buy this when choices is around the corner

Wondering if anyone else thinks this is overprices?
Tempted to buy this one, I have 6 wishlisted and mostly unbundled...

The two Shantae games alone are priced as this whole bundle, the one from 2015 hasn't been below 10€ on Steam. So for me this is anything but overpriced considering how much some games go for on sales.

'Before Your Eyes' and 'Mighty Switch Force! Collection' would be nice to have, but don't care about the rest and seems a bit too expensive for just those two games.

Kinda pricy for the games I want...
Also I know nothing about the gaming industry, but it's kinda weird to me (as somebody who is not "in" on all the going-ons) that Encodya could only provide GOG keys for Humble Choice for reasons "outside of their control" as they themselves said, but here they are giving Steam keys no problem...

Reading the small handful of comments from the developer; it does sound like it might be Humble Bundles decision and not theirs. Although nothing explicity says that.

Hey guys,
We don't have to go through this each time one key shop offers a bundle with one of our games.
We already mentioned everything we can say in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1137450/discussions/0/3051737278927935363/?ctp=6#c3046108141464049992
Furthermore, this is the Steam discussions, not the discussions from any other page.
Thanks for your understanding.
Cheers"
Gotta love them. I am not buying any game from that developer, ever.

they closed the thread pointing that out pretty fast, yeah.
I mean, it's not a big deal for me, I use GOG as well as Steam, but this just seems kinda suspicious. But hey, maybe there really were reasons "beyond their control" as they say, but I have my doubts, too, like the people in the thread.
okay edit: Golwar explains the situation in a comment below, it seems plausible enough for me to be satisfied with the answer. I was personally not affected much (since as I said I use GOG), so I will give them the benefit of the doubt or just accept what Golwar explained as the right answer to my question

There is a big difference between Choice bundles and Fanatical's Build Your Own bundles.
For Choice they have to offer a key to absolutely EVERYONE purchasing the bundle.
For this bundle though, they have the option to sell a specific amount of copies and then declare that they ran out of keys. Which is compatible with my theory that Steam limited their number of Steam keys too much to satisfy the demand for Choice.
So no, we won't see Encodya Steam keys from Choice. And neither Humble nor the dev are to blame.

Thanks for this explanation Golwar, it gave me insight I previously lacked. (although I do wonder - could the dev/publisher not just say this in their explanation in the Steam discussion thread instead of saying "reasons beyond our control"? Is that like bad-mouthing Steam, so they could not say this outright? This might have affected how people view the dev/publisher, and if it's really Steam who sets the rules for selling keys on other stores, the dev/publisher got all this heat for nothing)

I honestly don't know why they communicate this way. Perhaps most of them don't know about such restrictions and those who do know, have business reasons why it's more beneficial for them to remain silent.
What we do know though is that there are limitations, just not any details about how restrictive they actually are. But these restrictions have been mentioned when the Humble funders sued Steam in recent months

Both Shantae games are tempting, but I don't have a third game in mind.

+1
I've just literally get that and Super happy with it. yay!! :D

fanatical can get a hold of steam keys for Encodya and fumble bumble cant XD

Honestly, I want Before Your Eyes. If I weren't in the US, grabbing it and Dishonored plus something else would be great, but can't justify it when I already own both the Shantae games.

I might grab Valfaris, Fury Unleashed and Rage. Don't know if i can find these 3 for less than 10€.

I mean, if you have 3 games that you definitively want in this bundle, why not? otherwise it's a pretty bad deal simple as that

7 games for 20 €?
Humble bundle's 6€ coupon made me a spoiled boy

creeper world is a surprise on there. Those games are so addictive.
I had most of these and I don't do MMOs so I knocked off 3 wishlist items.

Well, good for you then?
Already bundled games obviously have been available for a better price. The unbundled games are limited and have a rather limited general appeal.
I only have one wishlisted game in this bundle and 10€ for that game plus another two I'm not interested in, isn't what I consider a good deal. Especially as I could get that wishlisted game for 9€. It's full price, without any discount.

True, if you actually want these games it's a pretty decent deal.
But SG is a rather special place. Most people here hoard what they are interested in and the rest is for giveaways. In this specific context most people end up considering these bundles too expensive.

Your cheapest dodgy grey market prices seem to be a bit off (ex: ~6.14 AUD for Encodya, with IDK what other extra fees on G2A added on top, or Beautiful Desolation also being a bit cheaper on Kinguin with a coupon), but yes, if you really need "not yet bundled but neither new" games these aren't wrong.
However, for us typical "crap for the backlog we'll never play anyway" buyers, the $3.33 are still quite a bit of money, if you consider that a regular bundle game will cost in the $0.40 to $0.8 range per key and how cheap people are getting pretty much high quality games from Humble Choice.
When I was your age, I could get a pretty nice burger from BK for A$4. To me it seems prices are up and quality is down, so I just don't go to burger chains anymore.

it's just recycled trash with little to no market value
the moment a game goes into the humble choice it's instantly devalued..goes for trading and GA's.
Humble Choice games have "no market value" because they seem to have a six digit amount of subscribers, meaning supply vastly exceeds demand for the majority of games.

Good as a deal, bad as a bundle - if you like a single game, it's likely cheaper on sale than paying the 10€. Also the same price is likely a lot lower than you, compared to everyday living prices, than it is to me, living in Eastern Europe and paying full euro price. And some countries have it even worse. Idk, it's a complex situation, but seems like I could buy 10 hot apple pies instead of getting the 3 games. (Or eat 4 lunches at work, cook for likely double of that, or watch 2 movies in the cinema,
And, of course, it looks expensive compared to normal bundles or a monthly.
Personally I agree with you that it is a good deal for you, even for me, but as Fanatical lacks regional pricing, it may be still over 100% steam price.

That's a bummer..I saw it said low stock this morning.
Comment has been collapsed.
I was considering it too, mainly wanted it for this Shantae game and change a homeless experience. I wanted to see on tuesday what's on humble before I commit.
I didn't see the low stock warning (didn't know they had one for pick your own bundles... or for bundles at all). Well hopefully it does restock.

Fanatical often restocks games after 2-3 days. If I were you, I'd check again on Tuesday / Wednesday after the Choice releases.
