Calling out would never be the issue here, as calling out is about pointing fingers that other SG user broke the site rules. Reason is that it creates bad atmosphere and witch hunts.

So if I write "can you activate your wins you dirty leecher?" that's suspension worthy.

There is no point about it in the "User content", but it's mentioned in the "General". Before it was hard "never point that someone may break the site rules". Now it's more lenient, and as long as you try to be helpful, and point user to the relevant guidelines it's all right to "guide" user, instead of getting hammered by the support. We wanted to stop to punish people that just tried to be helpful along people who broke the rules. "Oh it's my ref link, click plz" / "Hi, welcome to SG! Ref links are not allowed here, so you'd better remove it" / "Oh sorry, my bad, I forgot to read site rules (:D)" Message is deleted and thread closed shortly after it was posted, no reason to involve the support.

If you notice a user not following our guidelines, do your best to politely explain our rules with relevant links or quotes to our guidelines when appropriate. If they do not take action or deny any wrongdoing, please submit a user report ticket so we can take action if necessary.

Anyway there are other places to report such incidents, aka designated moderation team on the specific platform. So I will close this thread. We don't want users to rally community against people, even when "offender" is outside of the SG. As we never can be sure who's right and what are intentions of the user that "starts a crusade".

yeah while stuff like this is pretty rampant on steam, i don't think calling someone out and showing absolutely zero evidence is really fair. i'm not saying that you're lying, but we don't know that you aren't. gonna need some screenshots.

Hey,

I will close this thread, as we don't want users to rally community against specific people on the internet or IRL.

If you need help to recover your Steam account you can refer to this thread:
