Shogun 2 or fall of the samurai

If you like guns go for FotS. If you want swords and bows and stuff get the original.

Couldn't decide either. Bought Shogun 2. Will get FoTS for Winter Sale.

I like strategy games, and to me Shogun 2 was sort of.. disappointing I guess. It's not fun.

Well, Shogun 2 has achievements while Fall of the Samurai doesn't... I haven't actually played them to say anything about the gameplay but it can't be too different, considering they're both strategy games and one is like an expansion of the other...

It really depends. I think FoTS is more refined but its also harder IMO. Shogun 2 is really easy if you have a lot of archers since you can capture any city without losing like any guys.

you could just buy the whole collection on steam for 32 Dollars? it includes all total war games..... (for me its impossible to chose between games i prefer to buy collections cuz of that DX )

Go for FoTS, Shogun 2 is so expensive on Steam, in France we can get the Collector's Edition for 15€ :D

Get both of them. Shogun 2 has Rise of the Samurai DLC, which is a remade Shogun 1. Shogun 2 also has (cheaper made) guns by mid-game with the Christian path.

Im tempted also, but I bought empire total war would I essentially be getting the same thing but with Japanese armies? or is there a bigger difference?

total wars game with guns are always worse than sword+bow

I'd say go first for Shogun 2, as FoTS is a bit harder if you've never played any of the games in the saga before.
