GTA V - DVD vs. download?

Hello =)

I want to get GTA V and I would like to get it on Steam, but since I can save ~15% by buying it in a normal store, I'm probably going to do that. Now the question is: Will I always need the DVDs to install it, or is it possible to activate it somewhere else, so that I can download it?

You will receive a Social Rockstar key which will allow you to download it online.

It's the license to play that costs money.

So you can use it if you need to install it when internet is out.

Thats to bad. O well, nothing we can do about it. The boxed version is much cheaper than the digital version
