I recently won a giveaway (yay!). The creator may have e-mailed the link for the game to me. However, I have been locked out of said e-mail address (I used my real one, I've had to move everything over). I tried adding the creator on steam but he/she refuses to add me. Is there anyway to PM people on SG? Should I wait until the week to mark it not received?
Any feedback is appreciated, thanks guys

Sadly you can try only adding him, if he will still refuse wait 1 week and mark as not recived.

I think he's actually blocked me on Steam at this point :/

Then i think he didn't had even a game...You can only wait, then mark as not recived and report him on SG.
I had the same issue one time and after 2 days, they banned that guy.

How long has it been since you won? They could be just taking their time if it was recently. If not, try leaving a comment on their profile about your problem.

I can't leave a comment on their profile, that's the thing. Thanks for the suggestion

contact support but if they sent the key to the e-mail you provided then i don't think it's right for you to mark it as not received. why can't you access your e-mail?

I get that. I would only do that if it would lead to a resolution (ex: if marking it not received lets me contact the creator or if he adds me asking why and I change it to received later)

I agree. It's not the giveaway creator's fault that you can't access your own e-mail. To punish them for that or to cause a hassle for them just seems wrong. Dare I say the simplest solution here is to just re-roll it?

The giveaway creator has 1 week to send your gift,so what i would do is try to resolve the email issue first and also keep trying to get hold of the creator.after the week is up, try to contact creator a few more times then marked as not received and contact support, but most importantly try your best to get your email situation fixed.

I've changed my e-mail on here, I've also called support but there's no way to get my e-mail back. I remember the password, but not the recovery question's answer and they will not let me in without it for some reason. I'll contact support now. Thanks

He (creator) probably won't know your new email,he might look maybe, but I guess best thing would be to keep trying to add on steam, hopefully he will see and add you

He(creator) blocked him, most of people anyway add on steam first people and make sure your e-mail is ok, then they send you a link or e-mail with key, or directly thrue steam.

You can recover your email without knowing you secret question, you can submit one of those recovery forms. Provide all the info you know and considering that you are the owner of said email, you should be able to say enough for google to give you the email address back.

Instead of trying to add him, you should have tried posting a comment on his profile first (if possible). Nothing we can help you with, contact support. You should have ensured the email you put on SG is working.

^^^ This.

It is indeed your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct email before the giveaway is over. That said, it is also the creator's responsibility to ensure that the gift is delivered to you. If you fail to receive it by email, the creator should use any other means necessary to get it to you. Here is what I would do:

1) Contact Steam Support and let them know the situation so you don't get re-rolled.
2) Mark the gift as "not received" on the seventh day. That will give the creator a heads up.
3) Once the creator does contact you (assuming they are paying attention), work it out with him or her.

So the way I'm understanding it, after marking it not received, I will be able to change it to received assuming the creator contacts me. I think I'll do that, thanks
