If you can, try name as many Hack N Slash with loot finding games, and rate how good they were.

Played both Torchlights, and 2 had more to it.
Played a little bit of Diablo 2 and lots of Diablo 3.
I think I have Dungeon Siege, havent tried it though.
Havent heard of FATE.
Haven't tried Baldurs Gate.

Couldn't get into Pillars of Eternity and Sword Coast Legends, only because it was controlling more than 1 character.

I just came here to mention Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition

They remade the game and offered it for free for those who had it already, on top of that is diablo 2.75 :3

Pillars of Eternity is not a hack and slash game at all either. You may mix up it with rpg elements in games.

I liked Fate more than Torchlight games and out of the Torchlight games I enjoyed the first one while the second was a huge letdown.

Path of Exile - if you're looking for something free with no pay to play elements, great game-play and a huge skill system
Sacred 1 and 2, disregard 3 is really bad
Titan quest
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing get the complete ed .. has all 3 games.. in it.. but feels like one game that they wanted to make from the start)
Hammerwatch - this is a gem.. I had tons of fun with this game
Krater
How to Survive - not as bad as you may think

These are just I come up drinking my coffee right now.. but they are hundreds...

the always online thing never bothered me, at least there are no cheaters running around with impossible gear.

It did stop me from getting game on pc when I lived in place where internet connection was very limited.

I guess "no cheaters" is pretty solid point.

Rogue, Hack & Rogue-likes on the PC. Lots of sometimes weird loot. Many are free.

Nonstop Knight on phones (it's H&S combined with incremental) F2P.

Dungeon Hunter series (mostly on mobile) not too great, but I'm filling up some which weren't mentioned yet.
Loki cool concept but gets repetitive
Victor Vran Haven't played it yet since no one wanted to trade me a copy.

Besides the already mentioned maybe Gauntlet, Hyper Light Drifter, bit Dungeon 2, Kyn or - if you like Baldur's Gate - Icewind Dale?

Kinda hard, the "good" ones are already mentioned :S

I haven't played Hyper Light Drifter but I don't think it's a game with lots of loot. Aren't items and their locations in that game all "fixed"?

I think you're right now that you mention it... haven't played it yet either. But seems like a nice little game nonetheless :>. As I said, the obvious recommendations were already taken ;<.

Hm, all of those mentioned are not what I'd consider hack'n'slash loot finding games. Dunno about you, but for something different: my most favourite games of that type are the Darksiders games, I'd rate the first part a 10 out of 10 and the second a solid 8 out of 10. The Castlevania games are somewhat similar in playstyle, but I've not yet played through them all.
