yes it is, but it's an old nickname ;) when I was setting up my first email adress like 15 years ago I was a 12 y/o kid watching slayers, so I picked up nickname zelghadis (as Zelgadis was my fav char, and zelgadis was already picked i guessed zelghadis is spelled almost the same xD) and it stayed ;)

I still enjoy Slayers, it's a good show, but since then I've seen a lot not only good but awesome animes ;) And one LEGENDARY - NGE :>

I watched Slayers as a teenager, Zelgadis was my fav too. Still have a fondness for it, as it was my first "real" anime and... Wait, you're from Poland. That explains a lot. :D
Najwyraźniej wszyscy tutaj zaczynali od tego samego. :)

What does your avatar, a pot leaf wearing a santa hat, show related to NGE, other than you are a stoner?

try remembering NERV logo - you know just the logo of main organization in whole anime flashing into your eyes multiple times each episode ;p

ok, let me remind you then :>

Nerv Logo - so what we got here?

Half of leaf turned by 45 degrees - Check

On a black (or generally monochromatic) background - Check

With 4 letter name in 2 lines, 2nd letter in each line partially covered by a leaf - Check

With a rounded motto below the actual logo - Check :>

Actually I'm not even a stoner - I nearly don't skome at all (been like 1.5 year since last time I did) as I prefer to drink :> Just made the avatar as a joke long time ago for a particular anime forum, and as I liked it it stays with me since then :>

My recomendations and why:

Bartender: This series for me a student of literature is PURE GENIUS!!!!. just take the scene of the barman and the soul in trouble and make a series about this. Every history of every chapter is better that the last, and the OP and Ending is really likeable.I recommend this STRONGLY.

Haibane Renmei: yeah is a little slow, but...is...AWESOME!!!. But i gonna admit is my thing, and have really strong moment´s

Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan: This concentrate verthing of the old giant robot, and he doesnt care about little detalils like...LOGIC or.. consistent plot....everthing is for the sake of coolnes...and that is ALL RIGTH.

Horou Musuko: The BEST aproach about transexuality that i see in a LONG TIME, is slow, but they are a reason to be that slow(is not lazy chapters), the art style is great and the OP and Ending is really good.

Yojou Shinwa Taikei: okay other that probably i like becaus i stury literature for a living :D. This is a guy that want to have the "university life of color pink", and you don´t know how taht blows. They have a interesting art style and some pretty neat ideas(and some ideas stolen for other sources but is okay).

Hajime no ippo: just take everthing that make sport anime cool, and erase everthing that make sports anime blows...that is hajime no ippo...of course is not "real boxing", but is freaking cool to see.

El Cazador de la Bruja, Monster,History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, and read or die just to name a few. Don't really consider myself as having a favorite as the only comparison I make between series on how much I enjoyed watching it.

Hmmm...Chuunibyou and KWZDK were good but I don't think they're the best I've ever seen. I'd say Code Geass, Fairy Tail, Clannad, Little Busters. Close ones were Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, Death Note, Mirai Nikki, Some of the Gundams (Seed+Destiny, 00), Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. Of course everything is relative to taste, I like my RomCom (with a little drama), Mechas, Thrillers and Magic. I hate sports anime.

Well, it's difficult to say exactly which ones are "the best," seeing as how an anime may be entertaining without being well-made. Baka to Test, for example, had me laughing a lot, but I wouldn't say it was "the best anime" I've ever seen. There are better animes that I don't watch because they're not what I'm interested in, and there are many different types of anime. Here are some of the ones I've seen that I would recommend to pretty much anybody:

  • Akira
  • Spirited Away (pretty much anything by Miyazaki is excellent)
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender (if you consider it anime)
  • Angel Beats!
  • Samurai Champloo
  • School Rumble

Let me get this straight. You saw a topic about "best anime you've seen," and instead of passing it by (because you don't watch anime), you decided to come and leave a comment here telling us all that you don't like anime. Oh, and better yet, you ask if anyone else involved in this topic (about loving anime) hates anime, too. For real?

I'm going to look at your post in the best possible light and just assume you're trolling.

As someone who's gotten bored of most of the shounen action titles he's read/watched One Piece has consistently been good to amazing for years. Gundam SEED got me to enjoy giant robots, RahXephon into giant monsters, Great Teacher Onizuka (manga) was just always hilarious to read and Code Geass for overall greatness.

After almost a decade of watching anime though I haven't watched much in the past few years. I still read manga regularly but watching seems to take so much more time.

I got bored with the male leads, they fcking suck, big time. They used to be awesome, they used to go after the girl, they used to save her. Now i only see suckers that run we the girl tries anything with them, its sad, really sad.

Not all anime are like that, but there's an entire sub-group that are. Wimpy boys (don't even call them males) who apparently have no testosterone because they exhibit no masculine traits. They are often "shota," which is oddly appropriate since their behavior makes me want to shoot them in the face with a bazooka.
